Danny's Fish and Chips — Restaurant in Barrie

The first time i been there, I ordered one dinner to share and try first, and they split the portion for us, which was a large portion. And charged us for one meal. I thought WoW finally a good place to go for fish and chips up north.

Then second time I went. I Was hungry with a friend and couldnt wait for dinner at home. So I told him to stop at this fish n chips and we can share a meal.

I order one meal to share, and they split the plate for us like they did last time, but when I asked for the bill. They said that we ate 2 portions and FORCED us to pay for 2 dinners.....

One of the workers there explain the fact, They have a worker on the disability side, and he didnt hear me say one meal to split. But she was really rude and reluctant to help us get to the bottom of our problem. She didnt even ask our waiter what he heard us order, and kept telling us to pay.

I wanted to ask the waiter we ordered from to see what he heard but as I approached him, she was like ignore them, I have already dealt with them...............

I found that very rude and unfair. I said fine we will pay and never come back. And she tried pushing us to the back of the line, behind customers who didnt even have their Bill's ready.

I called her a B** because there was no other word for me to use. I have never been so MAD or EVER swore during an arguement. And one of the other customer in line said: "yeah you are being a B**" and she finally cashed us out.

I never been to a restaurant, where they force you to pay for their mistake and be so rude about it. I honestly did not know what to do. I wanted to call the police because I felt robbed! But I was already late to go pick up my baby from the...

I have been going to Danny's since around 2001 when they were in Stroud. We always order the two and few and 2 people if not 3 could eat it comfortably. Today I ordered a take out, two and a few, and when they gave me my order I thought it felt lighter than normal but I shrugged it off. when we unpacked our order we found that the chips portion was half as much or less than we were normally used to receiving. This wouldn't be a big deal if the price was reduced but that was not the case. We barely had enough chips to satisfy the both of us. This was so much of an issue I asked my wife to call them and make sure that we received the correct order and the person on the other end assured us that we did in fact get the correct order and the chip portion was normal portion size. I would be willing to bet the farm that I have been a loyal patron for longer that that person has worked there. It is a sad day that because of our order today that we may never order...

I waited for covid to be over so that I could get back to this great fish-and-chips we went on frodat night and the disappointment was unbelievable I don't know if they changed ownership but we walked in between 5 and 6 the place was half empty which I've never seen and all the years we were going there the floors were so disgusting they looked like they hadn't been cleaned in in a week dirt mud grass all over the floors then we get the service and the menu is on paper placemats I was given a dirty one and I discovered later it's because they take them back now we got 2 orders of halibut and chips 1 of them had a side of coal slaw and a Coke and it was $60 Absolutely outrageous for service by a bunch of kids dirty floors and a price that doesn't match everything we went for highly recpmmend staying...
