Disappointing Service
Former resident of the area, on vacation, visited for old time's sake .Great memories of my favourite menu items including but not limited to: curly fries, nachos, taquitos, the Safari Club, etc.
Food
BBQ chicken nachos Missed the red and green tortilla chips Not sure if the red and green tortilla chips have been discontinued or if they're just not used for the BBQ chicken version Overall taste was OK The jalapenos served on the side were mushy instead of firm and really salty The diced tomato was mushy and bland - looked like the woodle orange variety or similar
Curly fries As expected, no big departure from what I've always been used to Side of gravy Both were fine
Service
This is where the experience fell short
Arrived: 12:58PM Received food: 2:02PM
Greeted and seated promptly Drink orders taken and drinks received promptly Food order taken promptly Server did not return to update us on the status of our food or check-in with our table for the duration of our wait This is completely bad form and not up to the standard of service you'd expect in any sit-down restaurant While we understand that sometimes restaurants and kitchens get busy and therefore food orders and arrival might be delayed, it is unacceptable to not update your guests on the food's status during such a significant wait To add insult to injury, our server didn't even acknowledge how long we waited, let alone apologize or check to see if there was anyway she could make it right
In summary, this was a very disappointing dining experience. Perhaps your staff could benefit from some training around managing the guest experience when longer than normal wait...
Read more5* because of past experiences. Food is great and service too, usually... today however I went for lunch and I didn’t feel like a guest. My sever was told a couple times that there was a customer waiting. She seated me and left a menu. I couldn’t tell you her name and I had to wait a long while for her to come take my order. Once the food came out I didn’t see her anymore until I brought myself up to the cash to pay. Nobody checked to see if I was enjoying my meal or if I needed a refill on my drink. There was no opportunity to sell me desert because like I mentioned already I found my own way up to the cash. I could understand if it were busy but it wasn’t. They had a table next to me that we’re finishing a meal, a lady with an infant and one other table across the room. I’m sure there were two servers on duty. Don’t get me wrong I love dining here which is why the 5* review but I really feel someone needs to read this and remind servers that customers are guests. I would pay more for a great experience but today my experience...
Read moreService was great. Food was maybe some of the worst I’ve ever had. Expectations are never high with chain restaurants but higher than soggy fries and a tasteless chicken burger the size of a nugget 🙃 got the bathroom sink. You get two of most things but only one mozza stick and one pickle so .. not a great share plate. The food cost on those things have got to be 10 cents or less so you’d think you’d get at least two. The chicken burger we tried was hot honey. It didn’t taste like anything other than dry chicken, and the paddy / bun was abhorrently small for the 19.99$ they’re charging. Got a ceaser salad as well. The bowl was the size of a ramekin. Place was packed and the servers are on the ball, felt well taken care of and checked on. But not really sure why anyone would eat the food here...
