Jef's Café — Restaurant in Beaumont

Whenever I visit my daughter and grandson in Beaumont, my grandson and I have lunch at Jef's Café. It's our thing. :-) We were there April 29 and 30 for lunch. On our April 29 visit, he had the Monterey Chicken sandwich which he just loves, and a cup of homemade chicken noodle soup. I had the grilled cheese sandwich with tomato pesto - absolutely delicious. On our April 30 visit, he repeated his Monterey chicken sandwich which did not disappoint, beautiful shredded chicken, and I had the vegetarian (peppers, red onion, feta and tomato) omelette sandwich which was another excellent sandwich. Whether you go for tea and a chocolate brownie, as I did with my sister-in-law another day (excellent as always) or lunch, the service is excellent, the food nourishing and freshly homemade, and the ambiance is cosy. My grandson even commented as I was thinking it, that he really likes the music they play. The prices are also very reasonable....

We visited this location, looking for a spot a little out of town to have a "work date". (We're located in Leduc, so this was a short drive). When you pull up, the exterior of the buildings on the block are reminiscent of Canmore or Banff. We were greeted by a lovely young lady as we walked in and the service she provided was genuine and lovely. The room is spacious with many seating types from standard tables to smaller seating areas with comfy chairs. It's honestly a fantastic place to do a little work or to study, and the food fare is really great too. Prices are very reasonable. We would 100% recommend a visit if you're in Beaumont. Jef would be proud....

Meh at best. I should've taken a picture to do it justice but there were just no toppings in the sandwich. All bread no filler. A laughable amount of meat and when my wife peeled open her sandwich to see what was going on, she looked at the amount of sprouts and asked me if it was a joke. It had to have been because there were like 3 sprouts. With that said, the soups were quite nice but that just didn't save the meal. They look to have a lot of other options and if you were to go here for lunch I'd recommend going that route. May have been another off day but we have been here twice and...
