I generally don’t write reviews but when service is this bad I felt I had to warn of this establishment. We Ordered a family meal and a pizza at the end of November. Picked up the order and against my better judgment elected not to check the contents of the bags before leaving the restaurant as they were stapled shut, however, I did ask the employee if everything was inside, he assured me with an “absolutely”. Got the take out bags home and realized parts of our meal were missing. I immediately called the store back and was admittedly angry about the situation. I was told it was impossible to refund for the portions I was missing as we had purchased a combo deal. It was then suggested that I return to the store for the missing parts, to which I said was out of the question given the hungry family was ready to eat the warm food that we did have on hand. The solution next suggested by the employee on the phone was that the family dinner #1 would be complimentary on our next visit. I agreed to this but asked how I would have a record of this, to which he responded “I’ll remember”. I believe my actual response to this was laughter, I asked him how he’d remember, and what I should do if he happened not to be working the next time I called, he said “there’d be a record of it.” At this point, very frustrated and extremely skeptical I gave up and agreed. Fast forward one month when I call to make another order and imagine my surprise when they have no record of this situation and refuse to make good on their promise. I spoke with the manager on duty who was also no help at all, blaming me for waiting a month to call back about it. When I said we don’t order takeout often and weren’t about to reorder the same meal the next day, he said that we should have, and that a month was too far back (I was never given a timeline or explained what the statute of limitations actually was)? Lastly he claimed that me talking politely albeit very sternly with him was “yelling”. Simply put, the ethics at this business are questionable at best, staff I have dealt with are poorly trained and poorly managed, and management has zero customer service skills to deal with a situation that they created. As far as the food goes, I’ll give the one star in my review for their pizza, it was very good (but sadly I won’t be ordering it again)…the fries were terrible, if you want good fries in Beausejour go to Vickie’s…and if you want good service, go...
Read moreGeeze! Where do I start! This was not what I expected in the slightest. Back in the day, my father vouched for this place, stating it was the go-to joint for great, reliable food. Fast forward today (Jul 11), passing through Beausejour, me and my family wanted to check in with our favorite local chicken place only to discover one of the most horrible, disgusting, run down Chicken Delight we have ever seen. Upon opening the door, we were greeted by a dimly-light unwelcoming atmosphere with staff who did not even acknowledge we had entered. I still can not believe how this place has survived this long without a renovation. The washrooms were filthy with no hot water and lack of toilet paper. This raises some health concerns immediately - like how are they washing their hands before handing your food? Nevertheless, it's the food that matters, right?
After sitting down and being blasted by cold air from the ceiling and having to wait a decent 10 minutes for our food midway, we hear some commotion, most likely arguing in the kitchen. Great!
Finally, the food arrived. Not many complaints here... Except for the greasy, cold, undercooked food we had got. Despite this some of the food was pretty good still.
TLDR: Food is mediocre, atmosphere is really bad, needs a renovation, poor service, would not recommend...
Read moreWe visited yesterday and I thought this place was bad. When we got there, we ordered our food and we sat down. We waited for like half an hour and we were in a hurry to get somewhere. When the waitress came to our table, she brought the food, no utensils, and asked us, "Do you need any cutlery?" and I was like, Yes! How else are we going to eat our food, with our fingers?! That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard from a waitor. When we started eating, we got cold gravy. She asked us if we want fresh gravy, and we said yes. The chicken and fries weren't very warm and they were awful. The 2 pieces of chicken were small and nothing to eat. We live over an hour south of here and we came all this way for such disappointment. I may give you a second chance, but I don't want to see this...
