Chatime Bedford — Restaurant in Bedford

I wish I could give this place zero stars. I tried this location instead of the Lacewood location to see if their taro milk tea was any better, it ended up being the same, chalky and chunky mess i had before, and didn't seem properly blended. I have had taro milk tea in other provinces at chatime and didn't face this problem. I asked if I could just exchange it for another kind of bubble tea, as they did this for me before at the Lacewood location. She called her manager on 2 seprate occasions, and talked to them for a long time, asking if she could do the exchange. I asked to speak to the manager the second time, and was refused. She came back to me saying they could offer 10 percent off of paying full price for another drink. She also asked me for the location where they did this for me before, because they wanted to rat them out. This is a terrible way to conduct your buisness and I won't be back. Avoid the taro milk tea, and know that they don't care for their customers here.

Edit* if the Taro milk tea is supposed to be the consistency of curdled milk then maybe you should change the standard. I've been to multiple other chatime locations in other provinces and have never had such a gross version of this drink. My review is not to take aim at the staff, but to you, the management. You wouldn't even give me the time of day to speak to me and left your poor employee to deal with your issues, further proving your incompetence in dealing...

Nice & cozy “wife approved” place. You can expect 8-12 CAD per drink (so prices are high, but average to other places like this).

Convenient packaging for drinks so you can grab them with you if you want to drink later. The drinks are good. The staff is also nice & can give you advice on drinks. They also have some nice-looking cookies available, never tried them, however.

During peak hours, you can expect relatively long waiting times (~30+ minutes) because there is only 1 staff member present (and in terms of their work, they always work fast). It is not a big deal, just be informed about this.

However, if they get a delivery request from Uber etc., they will switch to it if they didn't start to work on your order. It does not seem right, especially if the place has a line inside of people who also waiting for the orders. And if you can “calculate” waiting times by looking at the # of people in the line to get the idea whether you have time to wait or not, these deliveries mess all this up. They leave you with an unpleasant experience, with uncertainty regarding grabbing the drink...

The drinks are consistently delicious, and I appreciate the variety of choices that cater to different tastes and preferences.

The service is friendly and efficient, and the shop itself has a pleasant and modern vibe, making it a great place to unwind or catch up with friends.
