THE KON DOG Korean Hotdog and Bingsu — Restaurant in Bedford

Very impulsive visit here on a Sunday afternoon in early Dec 2023. Was driving by with someone and it caught our eye so decided to stop in. Fun, little place with a long counter that has wax molds of examples of some of their menu items, which is a great idea to see what they are supposed to look like. Some general merchandise for sale on a shelf, including cute 'kon dog' keychains, some of which were hanging on their Christmas tree. Seating for maybe 16? We were the only ones there and then another couple of customers came, but mid-afternoon I wouldn't expect it to be busy. Friendly staff. I tried the Half & Half kon dog (half beef weiner, half mozzerella) with potato. So the batter is apparently made of rice, and deep fried, like a corn dog, but all these crazy varieties that make it so interesting. The cheese half of mine was oozing and what you'd expect. The potato bits are cubed and the whole dog is rolled in them, so it looks like this strange long item with little squares all over it. They have a ton of dips and sauces to choose from, so I asked for spicy mayo to be drizzled on it. Overall, good tasting and although so very unhealthy, I can see this being an occasional treat for me. The mathematical combinations that are possible from every type of dog, with all the toppings & sauces, is limitless. They also have these frozen ice desserts on the menu that average about $12 and look like cupcakes in the picture. I definitely would come back another time and have one of those separately, as I think it would be too much to get more than one item here per visit. More intrigued I am here than...

I visited the store today and made an order.

While waiting for our order, the kids asked for some ketchup to take with them. There were forks and paper plates for customers to use, so we grabbed a paper plate and put some of the ketchup that was placed literally on the counter where we pick up our order.

Later, the person who gave us our order told me, in a really impolite way, that we can't do that and customers are not allowed to use the condiments on the counter. He said we need to ask them to do it for us. I asked him where the sign saying that and how customers would know, as the condiments were placed right where customers can easily reach them.

Unfortunately, this experience left me unhappy with the service. We won't be returning to this place unless the employees learn how to provide proper...

Disgusting behaviour by one of thr staff/frontline worker of the store. I went in and sat in their for 5 mins because it was very cold outside while i was waiting for my bus. The staff goes on to ask if he can help with anything (in a very condescending manner) i was like no i am just waiting for the bus and it’s cold outside. He made a very disgusting face at me as if i was a begger sitting inside the restaurant. It takes nothing to sometimes be considerate and nice to people especially in a condition like this. I actually gave a thought of grabbing something from the store before leaving but that nasty look got to my nerves. Learn how to treat customers.
