Restaurant Janick — Restaurant in Beloeil

I went there with my husband first and ordered entrees. They have great food. I noticed however since we were only two or perhaps since we ordered entrees we got better service. When I went to celebrate my birthday we (7 people) were served 1h+ later and served after a group (6) that entered after us. They apologized and gave us nachos with our meal when we asked if it was possible to compensate us with this example. I'm also pregnant and hangry which didn't help. My husband asked for cocktails but they ran out of syrup and then later ran out of the beer he wanted.. My mom also tried to discretely ask for a cake for me for my birthday. They arrived and said who's cake is this and my mom was upset that they didn't sing or wish me a happy birthday or anything.. my party sang for me to try to lighten the mood... food is great, service could use a bit of improvement although our waiter seemed understanding and was apologetic.. I will still go again it's beautiful outside on...

Another very nice restaurant in Vieux Beloeil along the Richelieu river. Beautiful views of the St-Hilaire mountain and the river are guaranteed no mater where you choose to sit. This place is busy and does not take reservations so there might be a slight wait especially on a nice sunny day. Service is quick, efficient and friendly. They have original cocktails such as the exotic white wine sangria which is blue and green! The menu is surprisingly diversified with pasta, salads, hamburgers, steaks and other grill items as well as many very good appetizers to choose from. The fish and chips were delicious! Tender inside and crispy on the outside with nice tartare sauce and homemade curly fries. I found the spare ribs too sweet which is not surprising as the sauce has maple syrup! Je donne un 4/5 car on a passé une très belle soirée en gang, par contre je donnerais plus la note de 6/10 si ce n'était pas sur 5.

Nous avions une réservation au nom d'un ami a 18h et je suis le premier a être arrivé, ça a pris un bon 5 min avant que l'on vienne me voir pour m'amener a notre table, malgré qu'une bonne partie du staff étais a côté de moi au bar après rire ensemble.

La serveuse très gentille et polie, seul petit bémol, elle n'avait pas de misère a amené les drinks d'alcool en au reste de la table, mais moi qui voulait seulement de l'eau, j'ai du demander a 2 reprises de remplir mon verre d'eau sans succès pour que finalement je demande le pichet pour que je puisse le faire moi même pour pas a avoir allez s'abreuver dans le Richelieu. Au moin, elle a amené une tournée de shooter gratuit.

La nourriture, les entrés étais bonnes. Personnellement j'ai pris l'escalope de saumon, il était bon et la cuisson était parfaite. Le reste du monde, il en a 3 qui on pris le filet mignons. Les 3 on demandé une cuisson médium saignant et les 3 on eu une cuisson très cuite ( l'intérieur étais gris), très dommage quand on pense que c'est leur plat le plus chère du menu. Mais malgré ça le monde m'ont dit qu'il étais quand même bon au goût. Une autre personne a pris les linguines au fruit de mer ça avais l'air bon mais bizarrement les linguines son pré-couper dans l'assiette. Puis la dernière personne a pris le demi poulet. S'etais l'assiette avec le plus de stock, si vous avez une bonne appétit je vous suggère ce plat, ça avais l'air bon. Pour le dessert le brownie et le fondant au chocolat était très bon !

Il y a un de nous, en prenant une gorgée de son rhum and coke, a croqué un glaçon pour ce rendre compte que n'étais pas un glaçon mais un gros insecte. Je leur laisse le bénéfice du doute que ça devais être un insecte de dehors qui est allez dans le verre vue qu'on était sur la terrasse.

La vue était très belles, vue sur le Richelieu et sur le Mont St-Hilaire. Très belle...
