Mista — Restaurant in Beloeil

Came here tonight with my family and was very disappointed. I honestly don’t even know where to start. The restaurant looks very fancy from the outside, and was very busy when we arrived. Everyone had high expectations based on the majority of reviews and the amount of people waiting for a table. As we had a reservation, we got our table right away. Once everyone arrived, we were given 2 menus for 8 adults and 6 kids and had to ask for extras. The staff was very friendly and kind, however we often had empty water glasses. Otherwise the service was fine. Once we ordered, we waiting about 1 hour for the appetizers. My partners father revived a vegetarian soup which we also had, which contained meat or animal product of some sort. After asking more than 3 times and showing the bits of meat, they insisted it was vegetarian even though it clearly had some sort of topping which contained meat, specifically porc which they do not eat. The children at the table received their appetizers, main dishes and desserts before any adults even received a main dish. Our family friends ended up canceling their orders after picking at their children’s meals since they did not revive any food after almost 2 hours. Once we finally got our food after 2 hours since we sat down, it only got worse. Nobody enjoyed their food, other than the baby who had tomato pasta. My partners parents ordered the salmon and the skin was burnt and had to be peeled off. The pasta that accompanied the dish has bits of burnt corn which made the entire sauce taste terrible. They didn’t even eat half of their food. A family member had to send her entire meal back and cancel it due to waiting times as she asked for a well done steak (she is pregnant) and it came rare. My pizza had zero flavour and zero salt. I had to ask for salt on my pizza, which I’ve never experienced in my life. There were also flies in the restaurant, we had to cover our plates with napkins.

For the price of the food, I don’t recommend. I’m sure the drinks are great and the atmosphere is nice however we were very disappointed with our meals and won’t be...

The beef carpacio was fantastic! I really wanted to love the pasta but neither dish seemed to feature homemade pasta which I would expect with a restaurant like this. (carbonara and ricco) If it was homemade, it was thick and a little gummy, not thinner and more delicate. The pappardelle was subbed in the carbonara for penne, but both noodles had the same problem (the pappardelle a little less gummy than the penne). I got my food as take away, and I was really impressed they had included the cracked egg sitting in the center of the pasta the same way you would get if you were eating it in house. The ricco had a nice mix of veggies and I loved the kalamatas when I got a bite with all the components. I would probably skip the cannolis if I order again, the filling was on the bitter side and more wet than...

noisy, slow service... ordered 2 pizzas for the two of us, watched one sit on the pick up counter for minimum 20 minutes, then when the second one came out the server brought them both over...these were thin crust so one was stone cold by this time....server argued that "its not possible it sat there for that long"...i am 8 feet from it, i can see it...she offered to put it back in the oven, but it was already slightly burnt so no point to that....offered to get another one, but at this point we've already been there nearly two hours, ....why bother....at the end, the server gave me a run down of what she had offered to replace the pizza, so i guess trying to justify her service and possible tip. ....so two pizzas, 2 martinis and a baileys, $155.00... total waste of time...
