Firki Indian Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Brampton

I’ve been to Firki a few times in the past for both dine in and take out. The food is mostly good and delicious except for a few items.

The ambience is decent but needs some improvement to showcase a better environment.

I recently ordered Dal Makhani, Baingan Bharta, Vegetable Biryani, Some Butter Naans and Tandoori Rotis.

The Dal Makhani has always been excellent. It’s been well cooked and has the right texture and consistency. Very flavourful. Not many Indian restaurants in Canada have this same authentic taste.

The Baingan Bharta was also good and appetizing. Nicely made with the right amount of spices.

Sadly, the Vegetable Biryani had the appearance of a Vegetable Pulao. However, the flavours were okay. The veggies - Broccoli and Cauliflower did not taste good for some reason. They need to improve on the quality of biryanis so they taste authentic.

The breads - Butter Naans and Tandoori Rotis were soft and well made.

The prices of the dishes here are reasonable compared to other Indian restaurants in GTA. The quantity is good as well.

The Chicken Tikka Masala here is simply amazing and my favourite. The taste of this dish takes me back to Delhi in India where I’ve had the same kind of taste. A must try for...

Firki Feast: A Culinary Delight!

Firki Restaurant recently stole our hearts (and taste buds) with an incredible Indian dining experience. From the moment we walked in, we were surrounded by the vibrant energy of the place.

But the true star of the show was the food. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, a testament to the expertise of their chefs.

Must-Try Appetizer: The Kali Mirch Mushroom This dish deserves its own special mention. The Kali Mirch mushroom was an explosion of flavor. Perfectly cooked and bursting with a delightful black pepper kick, it was truly "to die for," as you say.

Main Course Marvels - The main courses continued the symphony of flavors. The Methi Matar Malai offered a creamy and comforting experience, while the Paneer Lababdaar brought a touch of heat with its fiery delight. The Firki Special Chicken Curry sounds like it lived up to its name, offering a unique house recipe that surely tantalized your taste buds.

We have been regular and loyal customers of Firki for a long time and used to absolutely love their food. It was our go-to restaurant for family dinners and takeouts. However, over the past few months, the experience has been consistently disappointing. Our most recent visit was the final straw. We went with our family and had to wait over an hour before anyone even served us. The food we finally got was extremely basic and lacked the quality we once associated with Firki. Even something as simple as getting bread took forever, and we had to keep reminding the staff multiple times for everything — be it water, cutlery, or any order follow-up. The staff seemed completely inattentive and unbothered. Unfortunately, this wasn’t just a one-off experience — it has been the case during my last few dine-in visits as well as through recent Uber Eats orders. The taste is no longer the same.
