December 5 ,2015 I had went there to have a nice Indian cuisine with my mother and my aunt . We ordered food and sat. Approximately 25 minutes later a server comes asking what we ordered and we once again had to order again. And here comes the waiting again , another 30 minutes for food to serve keep in mind we previously waited another 25 minutes . Finally what my mother and I had ordered which was a thali came how ever my aunts saag and maki De roti had not arrived . My mother and I were satisfied with the food and ate it all up . When we finished ( took us 15-20 minutes) my aunts order came and it was very awkward because we were done and she still had to eat . Also the maki di roti was not well cooked it was raw! Anyway we Waited for her to finish up and went to the counter to explain our experience did not go to well. As we were telling the owner this one woman at the counter was giving thee dirtiest and rudest looks of how dare you have said that . Keep in mind about 5 customers complained about the service to so I don't understand why it was in such shock. Learn to accept critizism! Overall this was the first time I went there and it was a total disaster . I went in with a mind to enjoy food and find out pricing for catering for my parents anniversary but the experience went very bad . I will never be coming back and will make sure I let other...
Read moreIf you're craving authentic Punjabi vegetarian food that tastes like it's straight from your grandma’s kitchen, Sanjhi Rasoi is the place to be. I recently visited their Steeles Avenue location, and it completely blew me away. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm, homely vibe and the irresistible aroma of freshly made parathas, curries, and tandoori rotis. I tried their Makki di Roti with Sarson da Saag, and it was a soulful experience — buttery, rich, and packed with traditional flavor. The stuffed parathas were perfectly crisp on the outside and soft inside, served with creamy curd and tangy pickles — exactly how a true Punjabi breakfast should be. What really sets Sanjhi Rasoi apart is their consistency, quality, and portion size. Every dish is prepared with care, and nothing feels overly greasy or commercial. It's like eating at your relative’s home during a family gathering. The staff were friendly, respectful, and super fast even during busy hours. The fact that they’re open 24/7 is a total game-changer for anyone craving real Indian food at any hour — whether it’s a late-night meal or an early morning breakfast. Bonus points for their tiffin service, which I’ve now subscribed to — truly homemade meals delivered fresh every day. Their menu has something for everyone, from chaat items to full thali meals, and...
Read moreToday (Oct 23, 2022) at 8:30 am, I had extremely bad experience at this restaurant, when we entered; we were asked if we were dining. We sat on table and realized table was dirty, so we were waiting for server to come, apparently after 15 minutes. No one showed up. I walked up to the counter and requested to take our order. Finally, one girl came, we requested her to clean the table. She said “ you can sit on another table” with an attitude.
We placed our order. We asked for tea without milk due to lactose intolerance. Server was reluctant to serve black tea. We were about to leave and I asked attendant to provide her name so I could speak to the owner (I been coming at this restaurant since 2010, never had such a bad experience). She did not provide her name at first and demonstrated us don't care, arrogant attitude. Server later identified as Deepika (slim, young, short girl (obviously she seems very immature and absolutely no customer service skills at all).
There are few other servers at this restaurant, who served well, never had issues. Only today morning at 8:30 am had terrible experience. I hope this message reaches to the owner of the restaurant.
I was one of the regular customer to this restaurant, unfortunately will never go...
