Guddu's Hakka Chinese — Restaurant in Brampton

Going to one of the family who raves all the time about GCC and we were headed there and decided to treat them with what they like. Although they eat non veg we were having all vegan today.

Veggie Manchow Soup (3/5) - very different from everything we have had. But still good. Nice spice level.

Veggie Fried Rice (2/5) - as with all Brampton Hakka restaurants they use basmati rice as well and we don’t like basmati in Hakka cuisine

Veggie Manchurian Balls (1/5) - Very disappointed with our favourite Hakka dish. The sauce very different and balls too mushy. The sauce just had some hit but very flavourless

Hot Garlic Tofu (2/5) - Lacked garlic. Just pieces of tofu, in a spiced red coloured sauce and hardly any garlic.

Chilli Mixed Veg (2/5) - all the mixed veggies in a similar sauce as above just brown in colour.

Veg Noodles (2/5) - Good and quantity and still no flavour. Wish it was more spice and some more seasonings.

If I could give zero stars, I would..... I ordered Veg. Manchurian with gravy , Veg. Hakka noodles, Veg. momos and Hot and Sour soup. Hot and Sour soup- It tasted neither hot nor sour. Just… salty water with a lots of vinegar, soy sauce and despair. In name of vegetables there’s only rubbery Tofu or paneer (I could not tell what it was) The tofu was rubbery, no mushrooms and whatever "greens" were floating in there looked like they had been lost in the fridge for a week. Veg Momos- the outer layer was a chewy, undercooked. Filling was ok. The dipping sauce was pure vinegar and some sort of mayo. Veg. Manchurian with gravy- too much soy sauce and vinegar. Veg. Hakka noodles- first the noodles were not Hakka, they were sort of an egg noodle with soy sauce, vinegar and bit of a color. Overall a bad experience . Do yourself a favor: if you’re craving Hakka try some other place and save on your hard...

While food tastes good and I have been buying from them for years...on July 5th I bought for a house party. I bought veg fried rice party tray among other things. All went well, accept the leftover rice rotted and became lacy the next morning. I bought it at 6pm previous evening. I called to complain about it very nicely since I get food from them all the time, but all I got from person who answered the phone (Ron(?)) was "OK. Thanks for letting us know." No apology, no offer for compensation or anything else. I told him that I had the rice in the fridge and can bring them and show it to them but he said no need. What kind of response is this? He also claimed to be one of the owners. I think that is very bad service. I do not think I will be going back there again. Cannot support a business that does not take care of...
