Heritage Fish & Chips — Restaurant in Brampton

Why do people give this place a good rating? I was turned off it completely. The server met me at the front totally distracted and waved me in to seat myself. She brought the menu and I ordered a small salad and haddock fish and chips. That's when I noticed the flies around which were annoying and gross. She brought me the salad which had slimy tomatoes and soft cucumbers. The lettuce looked alright so I only ate that part. The dressing didn't taste like typical yummy Greek salad dressing. After that I noticed she sat down at an empty table in the corner and was eating her own pasta out of a plastic container. She brought my fish n chips to me and I noticed the tartar sauce was just regular packaged tartar sauce, I don't know what everyone else it talking about because I've had much better tartar sauce. The fish was meh and the fries were not tasty at all. Even with ketchup and vinegar. I didn't finish my meal, the server came over with pasta sauce around her mouth and asked if I wanted it to go, I said no thank you. Paid my bill and left. I will not be returning here to eat and I wouldn't recommend...

Service was excellent. The waitresses were very polite and friendly. The food arrived quickly. I had the halibut ($15 fish only), the fries ($3) and the dinner upgrade ($5) which included a fountain soft drink ($1 extra if you want refills), 2 slices of Scottish bread and butter and one side from a list of choices that included mushy peas, cole slaw, beets, pickled onions or beans. I chose the creamy cole slaw. The portion sizes are very large. I couldn't finish my bread, coleslaw or fries (and I eat quite a bit). The fountain sized pop was also large. The food was very good. The fish was a little bit tough to cut through and was thin but tasted good all the same. It's not the same quality as Olde Yorke Fish and Chips in Toronto although I haven't ever found a place that compares to that. For two of us to have the halibut, chips and dinner upgrade came to nearly $52 plus tip. No complaints. I'd...

This specific Heritage Fish & Chips location on Fisherman Dr. Is absolutely excellent! The fish is fried perfectly and also the chips are fried perfectly well too. The presentation is very well put together. All the condiments are at your fingertips all on the dining table. The tartar sauce is in a squeeze bottle. Just great organization of everything. Very clean place...the dining and also the washroom as well clean! 👌🏾 Atmosphere is quiet and peaceful. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. The service is efficient and professional. My server Michelle is just amazing.. very friendly, smiling always and professional, always checking up on you if everything is good..and she fast too. Keep up the Great work!
