My family has been ordering food here since early 2000's. Always great! Kids would walk there after school to get their chicken or vegetable fried rice to eat as a snack. I called last night to place an order for pick up. I didn't know the name and owner changed. I had a difficult time placing order. I only wanted 2 things, vegetable fried rice with egg and seasame chicken. She had to adk of they make it and was asking me if I wanted brown or red gravy??? It was a little frustrating but I thought maybe she is new. Then she said $34. I was shocked but I said ok, this food is good. Get to the restaurant, notice the name is changed. I have doubts and wonder if o should go in, went in and got order. The fried rice was not what I asked. Just egg rice and the chicken was not sesame, it was a sweet sour checken or maybe something else...ot was dark red sauce...didn't like it and they sprinkled sesame seeds on it 🤔...then I get home and ready to eat and they call me to come get my order, it's been an hour. I said I was just there and picked it up. So now, I'm thinking did I get someone else's order??? Either way, food was only ok. For the price, I won't be going there again. Sorry new owners but your food, prices and service for people in the area who have been going for years...this won't cut it, you are going to lose a lot of business and based on the reviews, it looks like that is happening. Good Luck! I really hope you can...
Read moreI recently visited Hakka Desi Spice with my father, and we were thoroughly impressed! We ordered the Manchurian Chicken Gravy (brown), Chicken Hakka Noodles, and Veg Manchurian Fried Rice — and every single dish was super delicious.
The Manchurian Chicken was the highlight — perfectly crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with rich, bold flavors. The Hakka Noodles were flavorful and perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of spice. The Veg Manchurian Fried Rice was equally tasty, with a great texture and balance of spices that made every bite enjoyable.
What stood out even more was the exceptional customer service. The staff was warm, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. The food arrived hot, fresh, and right on time, and the portion sizes were generous for the price — definitely great value.
The food was on the spicier side, which we loved, and everything tasted authentic and freshly made. The overall ambiance was cozy and family-friendly, and the entire experience reflected the vibrant fusion of Hakka and Desi culture.
I would definitely recommend Hakka Desi Spice to anyone looking for a flavorful, satisfying meal. It’s a fantastic spot to visit with family — the taste, atmosphere, pricing, and hospitality are all top-notch. Can’t wait...

I don’t usually leave harsh reviews, but this was one of the worst takeout experiences I’ve ever had.
I ordered Hakka noodles and chilli chicken for takeout, expecting a solid meal. What I got was a greasy, grimy mess that I could barely bring myself to eat.
The chilli chicken smelled off the moment I opened the container—like old oil mixed with something rotten. The texture was mushy and the coating was soggy and slimy, not crispy. It didn’t taste fresh at all—honestly, it made me worried about whether the chicken was even safe to eat.
The noodles were drenched in oil, with barely any vegetables, flavor, or seasoning. Just a bland, greasy pile of disappointment. After a couple of bites, I threw everything out. Not worth the risk.
It wasn’t just bad—it felt unsanitary and careless, like zero pride went into the food. I wouldn’t serve this to anyone, let alone charge customers for it.
I don’t know if they were having an off day or if this is the norm, but based on what I got, I would not recommend this place to anyone. There are way better Hakka spots around that actually care...
