For Tim Hortons being on by an American company, I pay off and on in American currency throughout Brampton with no problem. I don't even ask for the exchange rate. I give that to the employees as a tip. This location has been accepting American dollars as payment yet all of a sudden I'm told they haven't accepted American currency for over a year. How is this possible when I've been paying American currency here off and on for the last couple months?. How's it even possible as an American owned company?, That all of a sudden they don't accept American currency. Anywhere you go in the world. American currency is accepted. I'm told this is up to the owner's discretion as to whether they accept the American funds are not, if you're not going to accept American currency, American should not buy a Canadian food chain. Absolutely horrible. I contacted guest services, I was told it's up to each owner as to if they except American currency. I paid American 2 days before, at the same restaurant yet 2 days later...they claim they haven't excepted American currency for over a year. So wondering how it was I was paying American for months at the same restaurant. I don't ask for exchange rate, MOST LIKELY...the employee didn't know how to convert the currency, so just lied and claims they don't except. If the restaurant doesn't want to except American currency...they should have a sign at the order box before people waste time in drive-thru line just to be turned away.    Read moreI usually really love going to this Tim Hortons on my way to work. They are usually very efficient and very accurate. Yesterday however, I did not have the best experience. There wasnât a line up in the drive-thru so I did not have to wait very long and it was not a super busy time. However, my order was not taken accurately. I ordered a breakfast sandwich meal as well as three chocolate Tim Bits. I was charged for all of it. However, when I finally arrived at work and opened my bag, there were no Tim bits. This does not sound bad, but considering that each one is now $.30, that is about a dollars worth of product that I was not given. The sandwiches and hashbrowns, although usually with its good amount of oil, were excessively greasy as the photographs show. The photo doesnât completely show it, but the oil was actually dripping off of the packaging. I had to wipe everything down with a paper towel before eating it.
I donât know what was different, but this was the first time I am returning to this Tim Hortons since the shut downs. I have been away from work and have just now returned in-person. Before the shut downs this was my Tim Hortons to go to. Accuracy, quality food, and great service what was what brought me back over and over. I will give them a couple more tries and if this type of service continues, especially with quality of food and not getting my complete order, I will consider changing restaurants on my way to work.
