I don’t know where to begin. Well I’ll begin from the top. When I placed my order, it was about $17 for a butter Naan and a Nihari. When it came to payment she asked me for a debit or cash and I asked, don’t you accept Creditcard, flat out she said no, however there was a sign right there for Visa and MasterCard and then she tells me it’s only over $35. I have seen places they charge a fee if you’re under 10 bucks, but $35 for a single person to walk in and have a meal in a Dhabi, How is that possible. Anyways I ended up paying cash. That should’ve been indication enough that it’s not a customer service oriented place. Anyways I was hungry, so I thought I’ll sit and eat. I was called out to collect my food and to my surprise it was served in a plastic container. I asked, this is how you serve the customers who are here for dine in, and she goes yes. No plate on the tray, so I asked for one and she looked at me and asked if I cannot eat from the container and I’m like no, I’m not gonna eat from the container I need a plate. She gives me one of those Styrofoam plates which are totally unhealthy but now my food is here so I’m going to eat. I get my food to the table and I am trying to open the container only to find out it’s extremely unstable and flimsy, as soon as I open the damn thing, the curry spills all over my tray and the table. I’m attaching photos by the way so you know that I’m not making this up. talk about the taste, it was horrible. I don’t know what people are raving about and giving them five stars and saying they have the best Nihari, I guess those people never have tasted the best Nihari, but this was embarrassing. The meat was nothing but the fat. I had half of my Nan with the curry and some meat that I could find and left the rest and I walked out. Do not go to this place. The 5 star reviews are bogus. This is a genuine review. I’m attaching the photos and I’m also gonna attached a photos of the outside so the owners don’t come around and say it’s the competition. I don’t even know how they have the license to serve the food because the place is dirty and filthy. I know I did not expect a five star service from a local domestic Dhaba restaurant, but regardless, there should be some standards when you are running a food business. There was no paper towel in the toilet. Small things like that. They should keep an eye on it. I’m sure those things should be important to anyone who spends money here, it is very important to me. Luckily I work for food and safety at Peel region so I’m going to make sure that those who are responsible to check for public safety will be paying them a visit,...
Read moreStopped in here for dinner on a Tuesday evening, as it looked interesting (BBQ) and it was one of the few spots open near the hotel I stayed at. I had the bbq chicken plate, which was 5 pieces of bbq chicken, along with fresh cut onion, a little bit of salad, and what looked to be two tiny baby carrots, and some green sauce (curry?) on the side. The bbq chicken was delicious! It was cooked well, but wasn't dried out. The green sauce paired nicely with the red spice coating on the chicken. But whatever those "mini carrots" were, they were incredibly spicy! Overall, the dish was somewhat spicy, but not too bad. I had to get a cup of water to go along with the meal, as I had ordered Kashmiri tea (which was also very enjoyable - it is pink, and has a bit of a chai taste to it, and it has ground up almond and pistachio in it, along with cardamom and other spices typical of that part of the world) which traditionally isn't served until after the meal. I quite enjoyed my meal. It was just the right amount of food, with lean chicken and vegetables, and no carbs to make you feel over-filled. I will definitely stop in here again, and try something else...
Read moreI had ordered 2 chicken pulao and 2 kheers. First of all the service was terrible. When i was ordering the food the cashier told me 5 to 7 minutes to wrap the food because pulao is always ready. I waited 15 minutes and no luck. I had to go upto the counter and then they realized they skipped my order and started to panick and gave my order within 2 minutes. When i got to my office to eat the food, i could not even eat it. It was too spicy! I couldn't even take more then 5 bites because they loaded a PULAO which is not suppose to have spicy was super spicy. I tried their kheer and it was terrible. The spicy burnt the insides of my body! Totally wasted my money here and i would never go back here ever again and i would not recommend anyone to...
