Sadly, I have to say that the overall quality of this fast food establishment has slowly but surely degraded significantly over recent years.
Were you to compare the quality of food from say 5 years ago to today, you would find marked differences in the taste, appearance and overall visual appeal of McDonald's fast food products that has continued to steadily decline on a very steep downhill slope.
And keep in mind as you read this that this commentary is NO REFLECTION ON THE EMPLOYEES WHATSOEVER. These remarks and observations land solely and clearly at the corporate feet of the behemoth of industrialized dictatorship.
My sense is that the corporate attitude now lacks any true passion in their products and/or their company and now depend on their laurels to carry them through their daily grind to meet their previous corporate image (and projected profit margins), of fast food at affordable prices.
And, that what once used to be a highly energized group of young people enthusiastically working to sell their little hearts out for a product that once excited and enthralled them ~ has now sadly turned into a young group of disenfranchised teenagers (largely), working for minimum wage while they listen to those freakishly LOUD, high pitched machines squeal at them all day long announcing to anyone left with the capacity to hear at all, that their next order is ready.
No. I believe that McDonald's has joined the ranks of the back-sliding mega-corporations that have lost all touch with the reality of their paying customers AND their under-valued and under-paid employees. And worst of all, this truth is directly reflected in the sad imitations of their food served which IN NO WAY reflects or even comes close to resembling the glossy pictures of those tantalizing burgers shown on their menus.
Nope. Sorry McDonald's, but I give you a total FAIL in your attempted offer to sell appetizing, healthy food at affordable prices.
It's time to clean up your act! AND, bring all of your employees up to the minimum standard of a Healthy Living Wage AND to raise the standard of your food quality to at least a reasonable facsimile of your food products to, at the very least, resemble the beautiful food images shown on those perfectly shot photos shown on your...
Read moreWe stopped here for a quick breakfast and we were going to make one of the orders into a meal because we thought we would save a bit. We thought wrong, the order would've cost an extra $1.20. It made no sense so we just omitted the meal idea. In our order was a pumpkin latte. I had taken 4 sips and found that it tasted terrible so we returned it. I explained I didn't like it to the attendant, then I had to repeat everything to the manager. The manager said " well do you want a regular coffee instead?" I said NO, " I'll just take my $4 back". The manager replied " well the only thing I can do for you is give you a regular coffee because you did drink your pumpkin latte." I said " how else am I supposed to try it, I had to take a few sips ( 4 to be exact)." She said" "well you did drink it." I said " If I did drink it, it would be empty and I would be returning an empty cup to you and furthermore I am not going to pay $4 for a regular coffee." The manager finally agreed to give me a refund. A customer should not have to argue with a manager when they want to return an item they are not satisfied with and listen to that famous one liner managers use when they don't want to give you a refund " well you did eat it or you did drink it". That one liner will only work if your trying to hand back an almost empty product, not something that is more than 3/4 full. Then I tried my peach mango splash and it was so sweet, I swear it is 50% sugar, so that was another disappointment, but, after the treatment I received from the manager I figured she would try to argue the same line that " I did drink it", even though I only took one sip so I just chose to throw it out and absorb the cost of it $2.69 plus tax. I do not deserve to have to engage into an actual argument when I just want to return a 3/4 plus full food/drink product that I do not like. I do not want to hear " No the only thing I can do for you is give you a...
Read moreWaited forever in the drive thru people who ordered after me got their food before mine, once I got my food they got my order wrong so I went inside to get my order fixed, the one lady took my whole meal to the back and I waited there for it for 10-15 mins, once I seen what looked like the manager I asked her where my meal was and she made me talk to someone completely different who didn’t even understand what I was waiting for, I explained and she only brought me back the items that were wrong and not my whole meal with my other items as well, after waiting again for another 5 mins they finally gave me my other sandwich but the sandwich was still wrong I had a egg blt on a bagel even when she asked me what I was still missing she didn’t even listen to what I was missing which is probably why she gave me a McMuffin blt instead of a blt on a bagel but at that point I was so mad and I didn’t wanna be in the restaurant anymore! I will not be coming to this McDonald’s again I’ll just go to the other ones despite how close this one is to my hotel room. Do not recommend going here if u want a hot meal they take forever and seem to mess up, maybe it was a bad work day but I waited for a total of 35-40 mins for something that was supposed...
