Wimpy's Diner — Restaurant in Brantford

This restaurant has gone downhill since Covid has eased to allowing people to dine in. My sisters, brother and I went to Wimpys for brunch. We had placed our order and got our drinks. The waitress had come to let us know that the waffles/pancake mix was spoiled. We had to change our order. The waitress has still brought a waffle to the table. We were a bit shocked she brought it. We didn't say anything other that she just told us it was spoiled. We got another waitress as our first one was upset. But we didn't say anything nasty to her. We were getting our meals except of one of my sister. We ended up sharing our meal with her. By the time her’s came out we were done eating. There was another customer in there and she told us she ordered a waffle for her daughter. Luckily mom tried it before her daughter or the daughter would have ended up very ill. The quality of the food and the inside of the restaurant has gone way downhill. Before Covid, we were in there once every two weeks. Now it's not worth spending my time or...

So I get there and the place was really busy but there were a few larger tables for more than 1 person. I got one. Eventually, the waitress came back to clean it of, she did that quick. The meal comes out, 3 eggs over easy, although i did wonder when i got 3 Pigeon eggs, potatoes. "2 pieces of ham cut into 4 Pc's, toast, 4 sausages and fried potatos. The waitemress then said, I will be vack with your cutlery and I waited and waited. After about 5 minutes I went to grab them myself but saw my waitress, she said sorry she had forgotten, she may have been fairly new but she was curteous.

The potatoes had a fishy taste to them that made me only eat a tiny bit, might be the oil was old

Then the bill comes $20.37 plus I was giving a $5.00 tip. The ham alone was $5, she said that it was for 4 slices, no it wasn't, it was 2 pieces of ham cut into 4 pieces.

This was my first experience at the Brantford’s Whimpy’s Diner. I mostly go to the Ancaster location and loved it. I assumbed it would of been the same experience and atmosphere. Let me tell you it was far from that. It was awful! It took them 20 mins to come take our order. On top of the 45 mins to recieve our order. When we did get our order they took my sister’s order wrong. So she had to wait another 20 mins to recieve it. I ordered the Florentine Eggs Benidict and green tea. The tea tasted like salt water, it also had this strange foam sitting around the cup. The food tasted like rubber and was cold. I asked my two other friend’s about the food and the both said the samething. When I got home I felt nausous and my stomach started to ache. I honestly never write bad reviews. But for this place I just had too. Because I assumed all Whimpy’s diners follow the same protocol. For hospitality, cleaniness...
