The location for The Watershed Grill is amazing!!

However, the dining experience was highly disappointing.

The Meal ordered, consisted of a simple (not bespoke) Beef Burger and a Chicken Burger, and took almost 40 minutes to get to the Table.

It became noticeable that people who were seated 20 minutes or so after we had ordered our food were being served their meals!!

Upon asking about the status of our food to get to table (at the 35 Minute mark), and also mentioning the fact that other people seated long after we had ordered our food were being served their food, we were advised that it was restaurant management policy to prioritize service of Appetizers, over service of Mains. Incredible!!! This was the first time that I experienced this type of lopsided management policy!!

Clearly and practically such a policy when executed, and the Kitchen focussed to shoot out Appys, in favor of Mains, should cause inevitable delay to delivering Mains!

Once the meal was delivered 40 minutes past our ordering, and noticing Others receive their meals who were seated well after we had ordered, the waitress dropped by and asked if the Meal was "worth the wait". The meal was average in quality and definitely, not "worth the wait".

In response I also shared with the Waitress that each time an Appy Order is bumped ahead (prioritized) of a Main Order, it can only delay the prep. and delivery of the Main.

I also mentioned that the restaurant management policy also failed to recognize, or did not care, that there was a big differential in revenue between an Appy Order and a Main Order, and interesting that the management business model and philosophy chose to prioritize a lower revenue item and reduce service delivery priority of a higher revenue food Item.

The waitress was apologetic and advised that the Meal had been 'comped'.

I do not plan to return here and instead will dine at the nearby The...

To The Watershed Grill, don’t ever change! WE LOVE THIS PLACE! 6 stars if I could! The absolute only place in Squamish we eat at. Some background, our first visit to The Watershed Grill was two years ago. My wife said we had to go because it was used as a filming location for one of her favourite shows. However, the food, the staff, the vibe was so d@mn good, we went back the very next night! We love everything. River Burger, Chicken & Brie Burger, Grizzly Burger, Poutine, Chicken Wings (try the Shed Rub ones), Baked Brie! Wow! And let’s not forget The “Shed” Caesar and the Beer-Garita! Fast forward to now and we have just spent three out of five nights in Squamish and we ate at the Watershed for all three of those nights. Absolutely nothing has changed about the restaurant. Our servers, Zoe, Chase and Andrea were all awesome. They each treated us like we were coming home, not to a restaurant. The third night we were there it was a very busy Sunday night of the Thanksgiving weekend and there was actually a hostess on duty. She was the exact same way, so genuinely pleasant. That evening we had said we would sit on the patio, and at one point the lady who we figured was the manager, asked my wife if she was too cold and would she like a blanket to put over her legs! Awesome! During our meal both Zoe and Chase, our servers from each of our first two visits, stopped by and asked how our trip over to the Island was. And after we were finished our meals and were getting ready to leave they both came by to wish us a safe trip home! See, like Family! We have no idea if there are better places to eat in Squamish and we don’t care. This place, the atmosphere, the staff, the food, the location, we absolutely love it. We’re sad now because we have to wait for another year or two before we can get back there. Hope to see you all soon! To The Watershed Grill, don’t...

I think that as a Google maps guide my responsability is to give honest opinions about the places I visit, when I see the reviews about the Watershed Grill, it pains me to see that people rate this place 1 star just because it didn't meet their expectations, your rating has an effect of others, please rate honest, that being said. We came to this place because we saw that it is the set they used to film the TV series Virgin River, Jack's bar in particular, the outside of it, the indoor scenes were filmed in a studio, I have drove in this area for a few years taking kids to camps nearby and I have been always in awe of the area. This restaurant in the TV series makes it look like it is in the middle of nowhere, and it feels like that because it is right besides de river, the city road is on the other side of the place. So atmosphere is unreal, the place was busy but from the time we got there and the time our food was at our table it was 30 minutes, I think that is very reasonable, the beer I had Driftwood Fat tug IPA, was very hoppy, just in front of the restaurant on the other side of the road by the farm, there are hops by the fence and I cut one of the flowers and I said to my wife smell this, and smelled just like beer, and that is what my beer smelled and tasted like, the food was decent, I like my burger juicy and messy, this one was a bit dry but my wife liked like that. Overall I think this place is a must if you are in the Squamish/Brakendale area. Kudos to our server for the info about the filming of the TV show...

The Watershed Grill was the first restaurant that we visited in BC soon after we moved here from the US 3 months ago, so it holds a somewhat special place in our hearts. Given that we were living in North Vancouver at that point of time, we literally went out of our way to visit this place! But it was truly worth the long drive along the beautiful Sea-to-Sky Highway to get to this neat and hip joint which has amazing views (thanks to it being located right by the Squamish River, far away from the hustle bustle of the main strip mall in Squamish), a lively ambiance, yummy food and very friendly staff! We had our first plate of Poutine here after reaching Canada, and enjoyed the Mussels, Onion Rings, and delish Tacos along with the nice cocktails (the Beergarita is recommended!). It was an absolute pleasure to be served by Ami and Ellie, and to chat with them. Taking a stroll by the gushing river was a pleasure when waiting for our turn to be seated and also after a sumptuous meal. Pro tips: The place can get pretty crowded during weekends, so please come prepared to wait for a bit after putting your name on the waitlist and/or to receive the food after placing your order. Dress warm on days with lower temperatures because it gets nice and cold, both outside and inside the place. The parking spots by the restaurant building are limited, and you'll have more luck finding a spot in the lot further up the road.

The Watershed Grill is a popular restaurant in Brackendale, British Columbia, known for its beautiful views of the Squamish River and its location as a filming location for the Netflix series "Virgin River." The restaurant serves a variety of Canadian fare, including burgers, salads, and seafood. I recently visited the Watershed Grill and had the chicken sandwich, salad, baked brie, and Thai curry. The chicken sandwich was my favorite dish; it was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The salad was also very good, with fresh greens, tomatoes, and cucumbers. The baked brie was a bit underwhelming, but the Thai curry was average. Overall, I enjoyed my meal at the Watershed Grill. The food was good, the service was friendly, and the views were amazing. However, I would recommend going during the week if possible, as the restaurant can get quite busy on weekends. Here are some pros and cons of The Watershed Grill: **Pros:** * Beautiful views of the Squamish River * Friendly service * Good selection of food * Casual atmosphere **Cons:** * Can get busy on weekends * Prices can be a bit high * Some dishes are a bit underwhelming Overall, I would recommend The Watershed Grill to anyone looking for a nice meal with beautiful views. Just be prepared for a bit of a wait if you visit on the weekend.
