I came in anticipation of an improved restaurant as I was not impressed with the previous restaurant. Having an esteemed chef create the menu made a difference and I felt the quality of the food was elevated. The menu is small and has a fusion Asian vibe with lots of bread and fresh greens, home made sauces and Okanagan flavors. It's likeable. I had the simple Wardo burger as a staple any Canadian restaurant needs to master. There were lots of flatbreads being ordered, making use of the wood fire oven. My burger was delicious! It was weighty, thick and juicy and well seasoned. I was happy Now the service was another story but only tweeking is needed. Tables were disorganized and left un wiped after clearing, and I felt the young waitresses are hasty and uninformed about the menu. Whoever is managing the front of house needs more attention to the details. Keep these tips in mind, you're running a class establishment guys! I didn't leave a bad tip, so I'm still rooting for your success and will come with my man to try a flatbread soon

My hubby and I had the pleasure of experiencing Ward's Wine Country Kitchen twice last week and BOTH were outstanding! When at District Winery for a few tastings, we ordered lunch from Ward's and we've never had a better burger or fries. Our friends said they had the most delicious flatbread and caesar salad they've every had! Okay, we were tremendously pleased by this outing, let's just say. THEN this past Saturday we attended Fairview Cellars Winery for their fantastic Chef's Dinner and guess what? It was catered by Chef Ian and his amazing team at Ward's! The meal was OUTSTANDING, the service unbelievable (we were about 60 people, I believe) and as someone who has a diary intolerance, my plates were accommodated in a seamless and caring way. I would highly recommend that any time you get a chance to dine with Ward's Wine Country Kitchen, you do so!

I guess breakfast is not a popular thing in these parts of Canada, since we could not find a restaurant service breakfast in a radius is 20 miles. So we decided to drive to the nearby wine country, for some 🍷 tasting. But out of nearly a dozen of wineries only 2 were open. But we found a small chic restaurant for lunch. The service was good and the pretty owner (I assume) was very friendly. We ordered the spicy tuna Tatar with a home made wonton cracker and our hosts John and and his brother Neil shared a chicken flat bread. Both dishes were nicely presented and tasted delicious. The only disappointment was the wonton cracker that was so flake that it fell apart and we ended up using a fork to eat the freshly prepared, yummy tuna Tatar

A Perfect Patio Lunch at Wards Wine Country Kitchen

Our visit to Wards Wine Country Kitchen on Saturday, September 20, 2025, for a late lunch was an absolute delight. We were so fortunate to be served by Assistant Manager Aly, whose service was truly exceptional. Her knowledge and passion for the menu were evident, and her recommendation of the Gneiss Rosé was a superb choice that perfectly complemented our meal.

We shared a selection of fresh and flavorful dishes. The Baked Brie was wonderfully warm and gooey, a comforting start to our lunch. The Kimchi Olives were a surprising and bold twist, offering a unique burst of flavor that was both savory and tangy. The Korean Hot Wings were a highlight—crispy and succulent with a delicious, spicy-sweet glaze that left us wanting more.

Dining on the patio, we were immersed in the vibrant and charming atmosphere of The District Wine Village. The beautiful setting, combined with the outstanding food and Aly's impeccable service, made for a truly memorable afternoon. We couldn't have asked for a...

We ordered food and drinks from Ward’s Wine Country Kitchen while spending the day at the District Wine Village. The food and drinks were decent, and our server was genuinely great, friendly and attentive.

However, the experience was seriously undermined by the attitude of two other staff members who made it very clear they were not welcoming toward families with young children. Their passive-aggressive behavior created an uncomfortable atmosphere and completely clashed with the family-friendly vibe this place advertises online.

If you have children under 7, I’d recommend staying away. It’s disappointing when a venue that claims to be kid-friendly allows staff who clearly aren’t comfortable around kids to ruin what should be an enjoyable outing.

Hopefully management takes this kind of feedback seriously. The setting has potential, but families deserve to feel...
