To start , we were just really excited to have driven an hour to bromont and get to the restaurant.
I did love the atmosphere , reminded me of the eastside marios when i was a kid. But that was not the issue...
First we ordered drinks , the bloody was fine but the amareto sour has salt around the rim instead of sugar( you should have seen his face , when he tried his drink🤦♀️) so we sent that back ti get a new one. We also ordered a coke (which never got to the table)
The garlic bread and salad were good but the soups : the italian wedding soup had 1 meatball in the whole bowl and the tomatoe roasted agrlic soup was Litterally a marinara dipping sauce we ended up using to dip the bread in. (Also we waited 10 minutes to get some forks knives and spoons on the table while the soups were already infront of us..and the restaurant was not a full house at all)
By the time the plates got to us ,thw waiter asked if we wanted cheese(3hich he never came with so we started to try the food .. the chicken parm was all sauggy and my penne arrabiata was cold .. really cold.like out of a fridge cold..
We didnt touch our plates and when he came back to ask if all was ok (5 min later maybe ..with no cheese) we just asked for the bill (we reallllly arent picky eaters ,but we did explain why we werent taking the food to go) the waiter was kind enough to not charge one of the plates .
We wished it was a...
Read moreAwful experience this night. First when I came in was told that if I didn’t have a reservation I wouldn’t be seated as they were full. So I walked outside and made a reservation and was seated within 15 mins, so they weren’t full but just not willing to find a table at that time unless I was on a list. Fine. However when we got our table the staff dumped all cutlery and napkins in the middle of the table and told us to organize it. (Not even exaggerating). We were missing menus as well and had to steal some for adjacent tables as no one was around to ask for one. Second it took 2+ hours to get our food and we were with young children. The wait staff was apologetic but 2 hours is beyond unacceptable, especially for pasta that is essentially already pre made or should take no more than 20 mins from start to finish. Finally we got our food and wasn’t even hungry anymore due to the amount of bread eaten while waiting. Many other tables were in the same situation and complaining to the staff about the wait. It was odd that it seemed no one was getting their food when you can see a pile of orders staking up on the warming table in the kitchen. This place needs better management and better training for staff. Avoid at all costs unless you have all night to wait for basic...
Read moreDON'T TRY TO GET ANY SERVICE THERE ON A SATURDAY NIGHT!! I went there with my husband and my sisters family after a long day of traveling from Toronto. The waiting time was 15 minutes which is perfectly fine, they then offered us a 4 person booth when there was 5 of us. We waited a bit longer for a table. After sitting down, we waited 20 minutes to even see a waitress. She comes and said that she's ready to take our drink order... I'm 6 months pregnant, I need food!! We've waited long enough already.
They are known for their endless bread, soup or salad. Well for the 5 of us we got TOTAL 2 mini baguettes as she never came back to offer more, we asked her and she never came back with any. Some other staff brought our main meal and no one EVER picked those plates up.
We flagged the waitress a few times because she wasn't refilling our drinks (not even our water) she came back and dumped a pitcher on our table, did not refill our glasses and she left without picking up any plates. Beer and cocktail glasses were empty and she never offered more. At that point I had have enough of her.
Never offered coffee or dessert so guess what, we didn't order any. We left and most of our plates were still on the table - this is unacceptable.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND...
