We were initially greeted by staff that didn't seem really welcoming but our waitress was very friendly and smiling throughout our meal. The interior decorations are a lot fancier than the common Vietnamese restaurant and it was a pleasant change in my opinion. The dimer lighting, the low background music and the fancy table settings made the dining experience so much better. The food itself was tasty. The soup I had was flavourful, the toppings were very generous and the ingredients were all really good in quality. I do however feel like the portions of noodles and rice are really too small and the extra portions are 2$ each for the bowls of rice. The grilled chicken was also lacking a bit in grilling flavours but the rest of the food was pretty good. The average price is acceptable but the portions once again for the rice and the noodles are a bit small. The toppings do compensate...
Read moreSO disappointed. I wish I had a better review to share but I don’t. I’ve read many good reviews and seen yummy photos of the food on social media, but I’ve been twice now and was disappointed both times. I was the only person in the restaurant and I had to ask for utensils, napkins and a drink. No one came to ask me how my food was and when I asked for a to-go container, one was put on my table for me to pack. Read moreI love to eat. So when I find a restaurant where I enjoy my meal I go back to sample more of its offering. Hoai Huong is such a place. Vietnamese spring rolls filled with tender shrimp and crunchy lettuce, crispy tempura shrimp, a delightfully presented pad thai whose yumminess is reminiscent of Le Royaume de la Thaïlande, and a chance to try a Vietnamese coffee. Their menu offers a good variety of choices, and the service is fast and courteous. Price is okay: expect $30/person. MAKE SURE YOU SAMPLE: Le nid croustillant aux légumes, poulet et crevettes (#38). Share it! Oh, and their Won Ton soup has an original taste (doesn't taste like the translucent, gelatinous, mouthful of flour you find everywhere...
