During the Montreal construction holidays it can sometimes be tricky to eat in restaurants. They too deserve a vacation. So we decided that we would try somewhere new. Our go to Chinese restaurant was closed for vacation. Something new it is. Northern Chinese would be an adventure. It's not like we never tried it before but a new restaurant...who knows. We were not disappointed. We started with the highly recommended Beef Noodle soup with beef, bok choy and coriander. The beef wad so tender that we didn't even have to chew it. The small cubes melted in your mouth. Because we ordered quite a few options, we left some over to take home. We then had an 8 piece order of the pork& leek, shrimp and egg steamed dumplings. They came to the table steaming hot and super delicious. Next time we will try them fried. A beef and onion pie was next. It was ok. Nothing to write home about. The same applied to the beef burger. But the pork, shrimp and egg fried buns were were delicious. Will wevgo back? Absolutely. The Buns, dumplings and beef soup are a must. The service was great. A little too fast, which is unusual for an Asian restaurant, but when we asked to slow it down, there was no problem. Family run restaurant are the best. There is always more attention paid to...

There is also relatively a lot of noodle and meat for it's price. To put it into perspective, you can actually see the noodles inside the broth instead of being completely submerged at other places. There is more noodles than broth.
Pork and Chinese Cabbage Dumplings: To preface, I ordered these unfried. The skin of the dumpling was really bouncy and had a really nice bite to it. The filling was also really good. If you ordered these fried, they would be absolutely amazing with the texture combination of it's crunchy bottom and soft and bouncy top.
Beef and Green Onion Meat Pies: The pictures shown on the menu and online really does not do this meat pie justice. On picture, it looks really underwhelming and small, but in reality, the meat pie is really big and can be a meal in itself. The exterior of the pie has a really nice crunchy texture and the inside is really soft and somewhat juicy. Highly...
Read moreThis restaurant is a hidden gem! It’s very lowkey as not many people know about this relatively new northern Chinese restaurant in Brossard. Not many people were dining here on a Saturday night when we came here. First of all, the owners really put the effort into every detail regarding the decor of the restaurant. The ceilings had a nice motif and the restaurant was decorated as if we were transported into a Chinese temple. The service was also great and quick! Really enjoyed the beef noodle soup and would highly recommend. The broth was really clear and tasted very clean. The beef was also super tender. Every dish was made with care and was homemade. The pork and green onion pancakes took relatively long to make as it was made fresh out of the kitchen. It was crunchy and flaky and was worth the wait. I really appreciate the effort the owners put in the food, the service and the decor of the restaurant so I would recommend to anyone looking for some good northern...
