This third wave coffee shop serves up some delicious java, with beans from Detour that are simply outstanding. But let's cut to the chase - the highlight of this spot is their espresso, brewed on a beautiful La Marzocco machine that looks like it could bench press a Fiat.
Now, when I stepped inside, I couldn't help but notice the feminine decor. But hey, I'm not one to judge. And honestly, the aesthetic kind of grew on me after a while. The signature green lid on all the coffee cups was a nice touch too, although I did raise an eyebrow at some of the corny sayings they write on them. "Don't give up" really? I mean, I guess it's better than "You're not you when you're decaf," but still.
But let's get back to the coffee, shall we? The espresso was smooth, with just the right amount of acidity and a lovely crema on top. Sure, the decor might not be my cup of tea (or coffee, rather), but the quality of the coffee more than makes up for it. And hey, if a little bit of feminine flair and some motivational lids are your thing, then this is the...
Read moreSo today I went in for an iced americano. I was served by a girl with green eyes. Polite enough, but the problem came later. After I ordered, a male in his 30's came in. He ordered coffee and I noticed her vibe changed with him. She began to chat with him and I see that she does his order first instead of mine after charging his order. After he left she did my order. To add insult to injury she didn't even fill it up all the way to the top of the cup; It says a lot about the subconscious. Okay I get it, she perfers serving men over women, but that's something you don't show at work. Never. All customers are equal. I regret giving her the tip that I can't take back even😞. Suffice to say, I will never come back here. Another thing, change your mirror in the bathroom. Its position only caters to a select few, another form of...

We were a group of 5 and got two matcha lattes, a tea and one cappuccino. The two lattes were matcha, one dairy one not. The lady told us which was which, but in the shuffle with bringing the rest of the drinks to the table for everyone, they were mixed up by our group. The taste was nearly indistinguishable, so maybe a little mark on the cup would help in these instances but had nothing to do with the service.
Overall,...
