Past half year myself and a group of between 3-5 guys would goto this location about twice a month on a Thursday for their wing deal, we have never had issues until this past week.
We sat next to the kitchen in a booth where there was high traffic of servers but it took between 25-30 minutes for our server to come since we were seated, no drinks or anything until this point. Once our server came, we ordered both our food and drinks at the same time, and skipped appetizers because of the previous wait. It took about another 15 minutes before our drinks came out, and another 5 after that for our food.
After our waiter dropped the food off he was not seen for the rest of the night. Luckily the manager came by and asked if everything was okay with our food and I got the chance to explain the situation, afterwards our server was back 2 minutes later.
We asked for our bill, one more round of drinks, and I ordered one tequila shot. The server came back with all the drinks and the bills within about 5 minutes, but when it came to the tequila’s lime he handed it to me with his bare hands and asked “do you want this”. Someone that handles dirty plates, cash money from other customers, cleaning rags, and whatever else they touch in a shift handing me food with bare hands is unacceptable but also a health concern.
I can excuse the poor service to an extent until it came to paying the bills. The group of us all paid separately, one of the guys in our groups bill was $27. When you are handed the machine it gives you the “would you recommend Kelsey’s” and a tip section. When my friend was handed the machine, it had no option to tip, and displayed $67 instead of $27, leading us to believe that our waiter gave himself a $40 tip. Luckily this was caught, and when it was brought up he said that “it was a glitch”, offered no apology and corrected the price.
We went directly from Kelsey’s to a different restaurant because of how horrible the night was ended off at this location. It’s very unfortunate since we all really enjoyed the place but this was far from...
Read moreIt pains me to express my dissatisfaction with Kelsey's, and regrettably, my recent experiences have left a lingering sense of disappointment. In the span from Oakville to Toronto, my visits to various locations have consistently echoed a concerning decline in both quality and service.
The culinary journey, once promising, has taken an unfortunate turn towards subpar standards. The quality of the food has notably diminished, and the recurring issue of receiving cold, unappetizing dishes has become dishearteningly familiar. This departure from the anticipated standard not only affects the overall dining experience but also raises questions about the restaurant's commitment to maintaining a level of excellence that patrons expect.
Equally disconcerting is the observed deterioration in service quality. A hallmark of any dining establishment, the service at Kelsey's has fallen short of expectations, leaving a regrettable imprint on the overall impression. From a lack of attentiveness to what seems like a pervasive indifference among the staff, the service component of the dining experience is a far cry from the customer-centric approach that one would hope for.
My journey from one location to another, with the hope that perhaps the experience might differ, has unfortunately yielded the same results consistently. This lack of improvement across different branches raises concerns about the broader operational standards and leaves me questioning whether this decline in quality is an isolated incident or indicative of systemic issues.
In sharing this feedback, my intent is not only to express personal disappointment but also to highlight areas where improvement is crucial. As a patron who has witnessed Kelsey's at its peak, I sincerely hope that these concerns are addressed, and the establishment regains the reputation for excellence it once held. Until then, my advice would be to exercise caution and consider exploring alternative dining options to ensure a more satisfying...
Read moreMy partner and I Came in around 6:45pm for dinner and were quickly seated. We were met with Our server Ingrid who was very polite and friendly, our wait times for our Food were quick but thats where the elation ended. The food was very disappointing, we ordered the fajitas and the chicken Alfredo pasta along with the 4 cheese dip. While the dip and chips were great along with the overly cheesy Alfredo pasta. No where in the menu did it state that the fajitas had to be assembled when presented to the table. We immediately were displeased and waited for our server to return so we could inform her. My partner barely touched the food before deciding we had enough.
We politely informed Ingrid and she requested the manager look over our bill to see if we could maybe work the price to reflect our dissatisfaction. Mike was the manager that night and he approached our table and immediately treated us as if we had made a major error and spoke to us as if we were in the wrong. Immediately following his initial comment he informed us that he will not giving us any form of discount. Not only did he completely ignore me as a customer but he refused to take any form of comment or consideration over our thoughts. We were informed that we should have taken it home instead if we were displeased. Although We don’t see that as a good remedy when we didn't like the food here at the restaurant…..what makes him think it’ll be better at home where our garbage works the same as the one they had dumped it into.
Mike returned shortly after and informed us that they would drop the spinach dip and provide us with a $25 dollar voucher, witch we promptly used.
Our overall dissatisfaction was enough that our future considerations for dinner to other establishments will fair much better than ever coming...
