Baskin-Robbins — Local services in Burlington

My family and I have been going to this location for about a decade. My son only ever has the large milkshake which is now $10. We don’t grudge him it as it’s the one thing he loves. For this decade he’s been allowed to choose 5 scoops of ice cream to go in that milkshake and this is the second time this new owner has denied him it. She says he gets 3 scoops. Now I’m not debating it could have been 5 of the smaller sized scoop that he may have been getting from the previous owner (who we miss very much if you happen to ready this) for years my son has been mixing the flavours up and has pre set recipes in his head of what he wants and may not say so at the time but it’s ruined the experience for him. My son has autism and does not adapt well with change. We generally spent around $30-$50 a week ( not including the tubs we buy for ourselves which is maybe another $50 a month) in this store and seeing as they have encouraged change I shall also do the same and encourage my son to change and take his approx $3000 a year somewhere else as the “lady” would not listen to me and was just argumentative. I hear Sams grill round the corner does milk shakes and I know laura secord does. Maybe they would like an extra $3000 a year. Not a good impression and way to upset a teenager! Don’t bother responding telling me you have worked for baskin robins for 15 years as I don’t care. That’s what your response was last night. And if you see my son even though I’ve asked him not to come back to you then for goodness sake just give him 5 small scoops instead of 3 large and...

Their google my business lists them as being open until 9. Upon arriving today (August 10) there was an OPEN flip sign that said OPEN. We arrived at 7:58PM. Upon entering the store a women came running from behind the counter and went to the door and very aggressively locked it and flipped the open sign to closed. Her body language indicated that she did not want my family of 4 in the establishment. I asked her if she wanted us to leave and he rudely said "Your inside now". We have been to this ice cream shop many times and have had great conversations with the owner, who was behind the counter. But closing at 8pm on a Hot Day in August seems counter intuitive for businesses recovering from COVID. There are other franchisees of Baskin Robins close by that have way better hours and after tonight, way better service. While we were sitting in their parking lot eating our ice cream 4 different cars all pulled up looking to get ice cream and all of them mentioned that Google has their hours as 9 and were surprised that they were closed. Considering we spent $32 for 4 ice creams in about 5 minutes, their opportunity to make money on a hot day is there. Also wanted to mention that while we were leaving a man was standing in line out side. The same lady poked her head out and said we're closed and locked the door. My wife mentioned that she didn't even say "Sorry we're closed". Customer service failure on all fronts...

Came here on a date some time ago. I ordered a Large Mint-Chocolate Chip Milkshake. This was a good move in my books as it broke the ice fairly quickly.

My date at the time got a Pistachio disappointment or whatever the flavor is. She was quick to make a comment about my milkshake pressed by the dairy created by the lord himself when he returned to create the 31 flavors that were originally introduced to Baskin who then made the store or whatever the bible said.

She had been shocked to see my absolutely phenomenal order and stated "People who like mint ice cream just like to eat toothpaste". Understandably not everyone has the enhanced pallet to understand that mint is more than just what you spread on your exposed skeleton in your mouth to freshen your breath and protect your enamel or whatever my dentist said.

When I explained how great it is due to Baskin Robins doing an amazing job at ensuring it's perfect consistency; Baskin Robins always makes a perfect milkshake and this was no different. It made no difference, I was lucky that the cashier at the time sided with me.
