KFC — Restaurant in Burnaby

The best place near metrotown to get spicy chicken, and that is all this place has going for it.

As for the customer service itself, I just try to stay away from this place as much as possible as it can be frustrating and exhausting.

My drive thru experience: A year ago, I approach the speaker, to place my order and when I get to the window, ready to pay and get my food, they ask me to place my order, when I asked what was the point of taking my order at the speaker only to go through step one all over again at the window? The big girl, in her hijab says that they had a lot of customers ahead of me, so that is why I have to give my order again. (Logic, right?)

My dine in experience: last summer, I ordered food from this tall black woman, I felt she was looking down on me, from the way she looked at me, I found her demenor to be lazy when taking my order she made it seem as if, I was a wasting her precious time by getting her to do her job.

On a more recent trip last December, I had came in on a weekend evening when they had a huge line up, And this brown guy taking orders was goofing up making huge mistakes on people's order while laughing about it and the people at the back were barley helping him, they just let this one underqualified cashier crash and burn at the till, while people wait for their correct order to show up, because he kept goofing up and the cashier though it was funny.

I walked out after I placed an order for a single food item and he goofed up, I didn't specify ask for a combo and when the bill didn't make sense, I asked him did he charge me for a combo he said sorry and then fumbles around before turning to the back for help, while we wait for help, a customer came up from my right side to ask him how much longer for their food as they have been waiting for over an hour for the correct order to show up. So I walked off and havent since returned back to this cockroach infested place.

Also on occasions, I've seen homeless guys and worthless losers walk into the restaurant and steal drinks from the drink machine, when cashier's were either too busy to notice or were not physically at the front.

This place is so well managed that, they would, let a person who either dose not care about customer service or know how to do their job properly, to work by themselves; while allowing people to get frustrated waiting in long lines for their food.

Seems to be the trend at this KFC location. Yep I'd definitely recommend this place...only to the people I don't care for.

And for those losers who love to steal, this place is definitely for you, customer service here, is non-existent and nobody there seems to care, it's a welcome mat for cockroachs that love to steal a free drink take as much...

At oct 23 2024. Around 7:20pm I think. I came into the store coming from work. There were two employees. A guy who wears glasses, as I remember, probably. And a woman who I think is an indian. I was tired and hungry. I ordered 3pcs original combo with larger fries. I am the type of person who doesn't enjoy chicken at any chicken restaurant company without enough sides, such as fries, rice, and more.. The wait was long as expected, but finally, they called out my order, which they said is '3 pcs chicken combo with larger fries.' I got the order and I was hurry to eat it since I was very hungry. As I was almost halfway eating, that's where I noticed where I almost finished the first chicken I was eating, and my fries were already almost finished, and that's when I realised I only had the very small size of fries. I approach and ask them nicely if I really ordered a larger fries or these small fries. I even showed her the small fries they gave me, and then she said that 'your larger fries will take a min. I waited and didn't start eating again cuz I thought it would be just quick. Past 3 mins, I just started taking a bite and finishing my fries and not knowing what has happened to my larger fries. 5 mins passed after I finished the smaller fries, I asked them how is my larger fries? That employee girl just shouted and somehow angrily for me, 'your larger fries will take a min.' I wasn't mad at that time yet, and I went back to my seat and even stopped eating my chicken and waited for my fries. 5 mins passed, no call out for larger fries order yet, and there were no fries or any order in the counter that were ready to serve. I just started taking a bite, thinking that I am not getting my larger fries. I finished all my chicken and felt frustrated that I never got my larger fries. And I walked out thinking of getting mad at that girl. Very rude and had wasted my time for something I didn't get. That girl should...

This place was not very good. First of all the drive through was packed and moving very slowly so I decided to park and go inside to order. There were people lined up out the door and it was very unclear as to who was ordering, who was waiting, and what the protocol was to order. The staff were wearing masks and were also behind a clear barrier so as someone with a hearing impairment, it was really stressful to order. I had no idea if the cashier was speaking to me or what she was saying. The barrier blocked the sound, and I couldn't read her lips because of the mask. I actually had to ask another customer who wasn't wearing a mask to help me order and essentially translate for me. I ended up getting the wrong type of chicken after everything. I ordered regular recipe chicken and got spicy, and I HATE anything spicy. HATE it. I couldn't even eat it and I didn't want to go back through the whole ordeal and try to communicate that the order was wrong. I had a hard enough time ordering the first time. It was pretty horrible all around to be honest. I am actually completely turned off from KFC now because that spicy chicken was so disgusting. I will most likely only order from Mary Brown's from now on. They have higher quality ingredients and chicken, and the food is much fresher. I feel like I ate old, grease soaked spicy chicken from a dumpster because the place was really hot and felt dirty as well. House flies buzzing around in the heat. Grossed me right out.
