We called beforehand to reserve a table and so we were seated right away. I was glad we did because there are only 5 tables 2 of which seat 2. There are only tables outside it seemed and nothing setup in the restaurant. The service here was incredible, the ladies were very kind, accommodating and friendly. We were given garlic flat bread to start as service and they were just alright.
We ordered the margarita pizza and the recommended lobster ravioli. The ravioli was incredibly rich and satisfying. We ended up ordering 1 more plate (for two people) of the ravioli because we weren’t full. The portions are quite small but I noticed after the second plate the ravioli does get quite heavy. The margarita pizza was quite disappointing, the dough didn’t have much flavour and same goes for the sauce. Overall I’d skip the pizza and give the ravioli a try and note the portion size is quite small. We paid $80 for 3 dishes including tip and tax. Read moreWhat a delightful experience we had at this Italian bistro. Have always wanted to come try out the food here at this restaurant tucked away in between apartments in Brentwood Burnaby.
We ordered a variety of pasta dishes and a pizza as well. The food was amazing all around and reminded me of the delightful experience I had in Rome. The pizza was done quite well with a good crust and toppings. My favourite dish was definitely the truffle lobster ravioli and the Mussels in tomato sauce special they had this evening.
The tiramisu at the end was superb. Really brought the evening all together and the staff were amazing.
We live locally and this is truly a great gem for the neighbourhood. I’ll definitely be coming back again. Such a good experience! Truly deserves a 5/5 review and now I can see why this lovely place has a great rating.
Update: the lobster truffle ravioli is...
Read moreAs we live right in this area we wanted to try La Torre Bistro and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. As soon as we walked in we were warmly welcomed and seated at a table near the window.
When looking over the menu we got some great recommendations and pairings. All the pasta is made fresh and you can taste it right away!
The service was amazing and the food was so delicious! We spoke to the owner Amedeo when he came to check on us and got great guidance from Lorenzo for the menu. Another thing you should try are the cakes, to die for! The setting is also very intimate, which is a breath of fresh air!
Highly recommended and we will be back often!
