A friendly, inviting neighbourhood viet & thai restaurant that strikes the perfect balance on food, ambiance and price. This is actually the second time my wife and I visited - the first time being for pho (which we thought was delicious; like some other reviewers noted, it was on the cleaner side of the taste spectrum, but the portions were generous, ingredients fresh and at a very fair price).

This time we tried their Thai Lover's set menu. Once again, the ingredients were fresh and colourful, nicely arranged on their dishes (good presentation!). We were a little surprised with the mango salad being on the spicy side - it was spicier than the red curry! It was nice to have the otherwise refreshing salad. The red curry had plenty of flavour and was my favourite entree. Pad Thai again had fresh ingredients and was good overall - the ketchup was evident 😬 The deep fried banana honestly was probably the best I've had in a long time.... Crispy batter, drizzled with honey and topped with sesame and vanilla ice cream.... Awesome!

We were very impressed with H&P - good quality food, a clean and modern interior, clean washrooms...and yes, for a very fair price that I would have no problem eating out regularly here! We will...

I don’t even know where to start except that they pay for their reviews unfortunately. There’s a sign in the restaurant that you’ll get a free drink if you write a google review, I can only imagine this is how they have so many 5-star reviews? It was weirdly empty for a Saturday at 6 at a highly rated place, and not very clean. The food was mid, at best… the service was terrible. The table next to us was getting frustrated as well because the waitresses basically just ignored us the entire time. And as if all that wasn’t enough, our friend found a hair in her food about halfway through her plate. 🤢 (for what it’s worth they did comp her food and gave us a 15% voucher that expires at the end of month and we had to use our next visit, needles to say we won’t be returning…) You would think after all that the service would’ve gotten better but it didn’t. They didn’t even clear our friend’s plate and she was sooo grossed out. After waiting a while we were finally able to flag someone down to pay and leave. Hopefully you read through the reviews (I didn’t and regret it), but there are many more saying the same thing about the reviews not matching the place. I’ll take bad service for good food but this place...

Came in for dinner with the family and just felt disappointed it was not as nice as we would hoped.

Service was slow. And it was barely any greeting or thank you at the end.

Was not busy. It was maybe about 4-7 tables seated while we were there.

Their Large pho has very small portion of noodles. My kids finished it in less than 5 min. And we asked for an extra order of noodle (plain noodle) and that took about 15 min.

There was no refill of water until we were all down our dinner (which was about 45min later).

The menu was big and maybe it’s too big that the servers cannot handle.

I had a Thai green curry and the ingredients seemed different. No bamboo shoots or onions or peppers. And the eggplants were fried too dried. However, the sauce was good.

They have 3 sizes of Pho , small, regular and large. We got a large one but feels very small (noodle portion) was just about a small bowl.

Serving dishes are nice.

Salad roll has a ā€œnon traditionalā€ peanut sauce which was not my favourite. More on the sour side.

Overall I would give them another chance but they may need to find a way to make the servers want to be there. They seemed stressed...

Beware of INFLATED Google reviews! This restaurant offers free drinks in exchange for 5-star ratings, skewing their overall score! Our first and last visit to H&P Noodle House was a major letdown. Despite the promising menu photos, the reality was starkly different. I ordered the $17 free-range chicken pho, and the portion of chicken was shockingly meager. When the bowl arrived, I questioned the waitress, who confirmed that the amount was indeed the full serving. After meticulously searching, I found only six tiny pieces of chicken, three of which were mostly inedible skin and fat. The broth tasted artificial, heavily reliant on chicken powder, and left me thirsty due to the high MSG and salt content. Adding to the disappointment, my child was given a dirty cup, with visible remnants of lipstick or blood on the rim (see attached photo). This is simply unacceptable. The experience was deeply disappointing. We will not be returning, regardless of the restaurant's superficial decor, including the dusty fake flowers.
