This was such a fun experience!! I have had Glenburn on my bucket list for sometime and was happy to have a chance to cross it off the list last night. The line up was quite long...however if you manage to be inside there is lots to look at to pass the time. The menu is quite large. Lots of Sundae choices, Malts, Milk Shakes, Sodas and Freeze's. A Freeze is made with Vanilla Sorbet and a choice of one of their delicious syrups and whipped up like a milkshake. My husband had a Ginger one and it was DELICIOUS...and dairy free. My daughter and I both ordered from the Mini Menu...which believe me is the perfect amount if not sharing. I had a Sundae which included a scoop of ice cream (choose a flavour from the board) hot fudge sauce, whipped cream, walnuts and a cherry on top!! It was amazing...the hot fudge sauce is to die for. My daughter had a chocolate milkshake and it was super tasty! The interior of Glenburn Soda Fountain is so fun. Very old school vibe and so fun for a great treat destination! Be sure to check it out if you have a sweet tooth.

This is a great ice cream parlour and the feel to it is quite similar to those iconic ones from the 50s. The place is busy no doubt and if you are planning to come and seat to enjoy your ice cream most likely you will ending eating it somewhere but here. The seating is extremely limited and in high demand, but considering the space it is what the space allows. The ice cream is fantastic and the selection is great. They don’t do the 100 flavour thing and instead they focus in a well balanced selection. Where they shine is on their menu. Here you can have a single scoop to a full blast banana split or a decadent sundae. The quality is first class and they don’t cheap out on the quality of the trimmings like the fudge, cream or cherries. All is high quality. The service is great and the staff is friendly and helpful. They don’t rush you to get to the next one in line. The place is clean and enjoyable. No doubt we’ll be back.. knowing that it will be busy and that we will have to wait but it is worth it.

Just left this fantastic place. We were excited to go and it met our expectations fully! Walking in, it’s like you stepped into early 1950s... simple decor, cute music and just well done. Ice cream comes from Birchwood Dairy in Abbotsford and the whipped cream is Avalon Dairy. It’s rich and flavourful, but not stomach-ache inducing. A definite plus. We ordered and shared the Black Out sundae, the Dark Side banana split with strawberry and a simple cone with chocolate...and then vanilla, you could taste the cream in the vanilla. We didn’t get to try milkshakes or sodas, but hubby was tempted. Syrups are artisan and seem very enticing. Maybe next time? Cause there will certainly be one! Value is there as prices reflect quality and portions are large enough to share. There’s a variety of options for everyone, at every age. Place is a little small, so pay attention to the time of day you get there! We got there at 5pm and it was empty, thankfully because by the time we left it was full!

changing my 5-star rating of this place to 2 star rating We were completely in love with this place. It was almost a weekly trip there. Not just pre-covid btw. And we, more than just understand small businesses taking a hit during pandemic and that's why always wanted to support this ice-cream shop. And did.

BUT - seeing that this place is run by teenagers who definitely don't have any respect for the business itself or the customers is definitely not worth subjecting our time and money into. Not for a scoop of ice cream it's not. Not only does it seem that the hours are completely changed on the whim and there is no consistency on that (yes - we follow them on their social media to make sure we were timing our orders), but it's been a year and a half of speaking over the phone with their staff or trying to order from Uber, which ends in one of two ways :-

Either, the teenagers who run their place feel they have too much power to turn down customers (Yup, has happened to us multiple times when we tried to place an orders to go over the phone, well in time btw of your closing time and only after making sure that it wasn't rush hour for you). Because they feel entitled AND rude enough to not adjust their attitude towards customers who are actually being supportive to their business. Or, after we place an order, it is cancelled (without any warning) and the store goes offline (order placed an hour before closing btw) with our money being refund from delivery service. After waiting almost 45mins into placing the said order. Yes, that has happened multiple times as well. And when tried to bring forth this problem to their staff - nobody seemed to care. It is met with endless defensive excuses. And quiet frankly, that shows a lot about the brand as well.

Again. Simply because the staff that runs this place thinks it's okay to just run it without ANY ounce of customer care.

This goes to show you - that no matter how well you think your product is - you take the human factor out, and just like that - it all falls down.

We hope you are listening.

Below is my 2019 review of this place. We found this little gem of our neighborhood about a year ago, and have continued going there every weekend ever since. Not only is the owner so down to earth and nice, their staff is so welcoming too. The 50's decor, the music and the old timey charming icecream flavours and tastes have made us gone in even when the temperature outside is in minus! Plus, this is the Only place in Vancouver that re-created the nostalgic butterscotch flavour, done absolutely brilliantly and spot on, I grew up having! And I had been searching for that flavour for close to 15 years! Great...

Been coming here for a while now since 2014~ and I don't know why I haven't sat down and write a review for this place yet.

Anyways, Glenburn Soda is literally the child in me placed into the middle of my neighbourhood. The colour and the decor aesthetic is literally from Archie's Comics back in the 70s-80s. It feels like I am literally in the panels of the comic book, and I could see Archie and the gang walking in from the front door any moment. I totally want a day to do a photo shoot in here with my friends in cosplay. That is how much I love the place.

This is the perfect dessert place for a summer night with friends after hanging out at the beach or hanging out at the park in the neighbourhood. I just love coming here for a good banana split or a HUGE parfait ice cream, or a Root beer float. They offer a good selection of winter coffee as well and some other ice cream alternatives. They have a very good seasonal selection too for the autumn with Pumpkin Ice cream :3

I recommend coming here to experience everything, and I classify this spot as the PERFECT DATE NIGHT...

Called in for a specific order and was told it was in stock before we came. Also clarified there there will be enough especially because we knew it would be busy. Drove there lined up and ordered, after we waited for a while got called in and was told that it was no longer available. I then mentioned about the phone call and one of the girls in the back proceeds to tell us that there busy and they can't control it, I then explained that I was told that there was going to be enough so that's why we made the trip if I was told other wise I would not be upset because I knew the chances. I cancelled halve of my order and they proceeded to make me the same order with a different ice cream at full price. I was not offered a discount or anything. I use to love this place but that experience was not handled well in a business sense I felt like I was the one that messed up and paid full price for it. At the end the guy that took the call did offer me something else but was very clear on his intention. I hope moving forward proper training and communication is...
