Tim Hortons — Restaurant in Burnaby

I hate leaving bad reviews but my experience here just rn was so embarrassing and uncomfortable. The two girls working on January 22nd at 8:pm were so mean to me :( I ordered on the kiosk and added strawberry cream cheese but they didn’t have any, so they put just strawberry jam on it, you need to pay an extra dollar for any kind of cream cheese but the jam is free. I brought it up to them and they tried telling me the strawberry jam does cost an extra dollar more (it dosent) so I then asked if they could trade my current one in for one with regular cream cheese, they then tried to argue with me and question me saying it out loud in front of all the people who started to form a line behind me waiting for me to solve my issue, the girl said very loudly “we are not giving you for free” it was so embarrassing as I was just trying to trade my brand new uneaten bagel in for a different one, not trying to get free food at all. I was so offended. She then proceeded to ask why I can’t pay just 1$ but I was trying to explain to her why I shouldn’t have to pay for the side of cream cheese (because I payed for it on the kiosk but didn’t get it) I then ask to show her on the kiosk and then she realizes what I am trying to say then they went silent then say to eachother to give me the side of cream cheese no charge, but was so angry and mean about it. I felt bad but I just wanted cream cheese. They where trying to charge me under their mistake and where so loud about it in the dining space everyone heard and was looking my way. When she gave me the cream cheese she waved her hand at me and walked away and ignored my thank you. I used to work at mc Donald’s not that long ago so I understand how to be polite and mindful when you are asking for your food to be corrected, I smile and use manners and am patient, but these girls with how they treated me made this a horrible experience. Genuinely upset me to be treated this way, especially when I was so polite and kind during the whole process. I just wanted a bagel w cream cheese :( I also ordered breakfast for some co workers and I one morning and they forgot all the hash browns with the combos, still haven’t heard back from them about...

1 hour and 15 mins before closing on a Saturday. Donut shelf empty with only 2 types of donuts to choose from. Why be open if you're not going to have one of your main menu items available? Sad. Waste of time to come here.

Dec 29 2024 UPDATE: Went back to this location Dec 30 3024, to give them another try and because I was in the area. I was happy to have a greater selection of donuts and TimBits - - maybe because it was later afternoon. However I encountered 2 other issues. 1) I placed my order at the kiosk, which included candy cane hot chcolate. I waited quite a long time for my order, only to be told that they were out of candy cane hot. I dont understand why it was still available on the kiosk of they were out. 2) Went to the men's bathroom. It was horrible. Urinal was overflowed. Floor was wet all over. No toilet paper at all in the stall. Disgusting. Obviously no one was checking or maintaining the bathroom. If that's any indication of how they maintain their food prep facities and operate their business, this is one location I won't return to. Consider yourself warned.

Very disappointed the last couple times, no advertising saying they now close at 11. I came at 8:45 pm and there were basically no pastries. Plus (and this isn't just recently, this has happened a lot in the last couple years) they turn off their panini and I couldn't even get any sandwich or wrap except Turkey Club or Ham and Cheddar. I also had to say my order about 5 times before she understood then told me that I only had two options.

Another annoyance my friend brought up a couple months ago that I've noticed every time, they barely actually 'dip' their doughnuts. Hardly any icing, compared to almost any other Tims I've been to.

This is more than two hours before close!!!??? I'm in hospitality and we have to seat guests if they come in fifteen minutes before close. Close doesn't mean time to go home it means you lock the door and then turn everything off. This is absolutely ridiculous and I'll be switching to the McDonald's down the block for coffee (as it's really great coffee) and snacks.

I've let a lot of friends know too from the area.. let's please move past this Tim Hortons. I'm sad about this as I am usually here a couple times a week during work, but we will move on to a...
