The worst and most recist experience everļ¼Ithe Asian waiter who can speak mandarin was very rudeļ¼ I went to Bubble Waffle coffee in Lougheed town for lunch with my friend. he went to order and I wanted to step in to find a dine-in seat (there was no waiter at the door to tell us where the dine-in line should be). I saw an empty seat with a server cleaning next to it and wanted to go over and ask if I could sit, when a asian male staff member came up to me and said, "You need to wait outside and get in line. Although not very polite, but I still went to the queue with my friend , waited for a while when it was our turn, we said we wanted to dine-in, the male staff said, dine-in needed to be wait outside , I need to clean up the table for 20 minutes. I was a bit surprised and asked if the table next to me was almost finished cleaning. There is another table just finished dining, but it does not take 20 minutes to clean up the table, he said it takes that long, the table has been cleaned up is for another guest. I asked if we could order first and then wait for the table after. He said no, dine-in must to find a seat first and then order ( I was not told when I'm looking for a seat at first time that the line was not for dine-in orders) my friend and I then "obeyed" and went outside to wait. and it turns out that there were no other customers in front of us, and it didn't take him twenty minutes to clean up. After a few minutes we went in and sat down, my friend asked him for the order papaers, and he said very rudely that can't you see the order papers are everywhere. So we went to get one ourselves, and after finished writing what we needed on the order paper, my friend held up the paper and tried to pass it to the waiter. This time the man came over again and said, "I'm very busy now, I don't have time to order for you, you either wait 20 minutes, if you don't want to wait can go!" The ladies at the table next to him were superised when he said this, and the behavior was very shocked to everyone, because even if he was busy, he can take the order paper first and take it to the list and enter it into the system later. my friend didn't want to argue with him, so he stood up and tried to hand the order sheet to a woman who was ordering for the table next to him. The woman had just finished ordering for the table next to us. The more Drama thing came, this time this man ran from the counter and chased after us, and shouted while running: "Stop!" to make us stop, and he said: "We are very busy now, I am not serving you, please go out." By this time I was so angry that I stood up and argued with him, saying: "Why should we go out? We lined up to order and you told us to go out and wait, we also went out and waited, and wrote our own orders, and you didn't take them? You don't take our orders but keep giving orders to other new people in line? Is it a racistļ¼ He just kept repeating I won't serve you! Threatened us and told us to get out or he would call security! I said you call it, I will also call the police to report your behavior, and then he called security...

For my first visit, I got charged more for ordering a mango milk tea although their poster advertised a lower price for milk tea. They said the lower price is for the original flavour only when I inquired. Well, I wouldnāt have known that because they had covered up the small font on the poster stating that flavoured ones have an extra charge.
I went there a second time because my partner wanted a waffle cake with noodle soup. When I asked if they have waffle cakes, the cashier lady looked VERY confused and she asked the cook if they have them. Immediately, I knew there was a language barrier. I had a suspicion she didnāt know what I was asking for. So, I pointed at the large menu photo of the waffle cake and for a few seconds, she still looked confused. She then asked the cook a second time and then confidently told me they donāt have it anymore. We then put in our noodle orders but every time I said something, she just looked so confused. We ended up not paying because we realized a little late that we couldnāt eat inside the mall because it was closing in 20 minutes. This was my fault, I admit, but there was no excuse for her...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went here yesterday after strolling around the mall and their menu grabbed my attention. I could've got something better, but thought Bubble Waffle must be as good as Deer Garden.
It was nice seeing bunch of photos to help deciding what to eat. I ended up picking Hainanese Chicken Laksa( without hesitation) in flat rice noodles with iced tea. Iced tea was the first thing that came. It was so yummy and refreshing. Noodles took almost forever to come as the staff was too busy handling take put and dealing with complaints.
Staff at least tried checking on me, but waiting wasn't worth my time. My dish had too much noodles less soup with gigantic pieces of chicken. Chicken was tender, but pretty bland. I thought it might have that Hainanese chicken flavour that is garlicky.
The table next to me had an actual Hainanese Chicken with Rice which looked yummy. Deep fried squid looked yummy as well. I won't ever order noodle dish again and maybe get iced tea, bubble tea or bubble waffle instead. Soup wasn't too spicy, but it could use more flavours. Regardless of waiting 20 minutes of my food Laksa noodle was nothing special. Bland tasting chicken with tons of...
