Bali Resto — Restaurant in Calgary

We finally visited Bali Resto for breakfast on Friday morning. They only open for weekday for breakfast and lunch.

We had beef rendang and chicken gulai. They both came with rice, boiled egg, and salad. There was spicy sauce on top of egg. Both tasted good, our favorite was chicken, it was whole leg and so juicy. I also tried Jamaican beef pastry and vegetarian samosa. Those were ok.

They also have sandwiches, ramen, soup, etc. the menu is very big and all great lunch options. I believe it’s run by lovely owner lady by herself, she was very kind and sweet.

The sets are all same price, it was not written on the menu but I think it was $15...

This restaurant was delicious! I've never tried Indonesian food before and wanted to try something new. The staff was super friendly and their recommendations were very helpful! The presentation was very nice and if I wasn't in a rush, I would have loved to dine in fully enjoy the experience! I also appreciate that they made sure we had no allergies, since many of their meals included peanut sauce. All in all, I can't wait...

Had been meaning to try this place as I had been craving to eat authentic Halal Indonesian food. We ordered Soto Betawi, Soto Ayam, Nasi Goreng, Beef Rendang and fried noodles. They were all delicious. I only took pictures of the Nasi Goreng and Soto Betawi as they came first then I forgot to take the rest as we were occupied with the food. Friendly, welcoming and accommodating owner and staff. Will definitely come back...
