Don't be fooled by the 4.5 rating reviews.
Do your staff even have their serving it right? Under no circumstances are your wait staff supposed to visibly (to your customers eyes) handle the drinks by touching where their mouths go. Tonight my waitress handed us our coffees not by the handle but by directly placing her hand right where you take your sip. Are her hands clean? I certainly hope so but you never know. It seemed a bit confusing that we needed more than just two creamers, which I had to wait for.
My girlfriend didn't get a sufficient amount of straws for her drinks. I guess it would be normal to use her milkshake straw in both her pop and milkshake (????) So I go ask for one and my waitress is rubbing her nose with the same hand she used to molest my coffee (Nice.) Only to be questioned by another staff member why I need a straw.
Why else would I need a straw? I can think of almost anywhere else better and probably cleaner if I wanted to ride the white pony.
So the food begins to come out for my family and I'm told my food will follow... Which it did, but not for another 5 or so minutes. Long enough to watch other tables getting their food. Then when it did show up it wasn't complete. The other half of my dinner arrived a few minutes later, which ended up being a Luke warm "poutine" which I will include a photo of where we can play "eye spy with my little eye" trying to find the poutine in the photo.
The main of my meal was okay, but the fries in my poutine were a bit soggy, but basically felt like fries and gravy with a side of rubber.
Was my poutine and it's 3 whole curds microwaved? Was it McCain fries? ๐
It wasn't even busy, there was maybe 6 other tables.
And lastly I need to mention. Canadians can see when there is a lack of canadian staff while canadians are begging for jobs. Do what you will with that information.
Does this sound like a $100 4.5 experience?
And please, instead of the cookie cutter apology just deal with your business. This place used to be...
ย ย ย Read moreThis location (Barlow) is our place to have nachos, after work. Service is great and well organized. Employees recognized us and they knew our order, we don't even need a menu. We always asked if we could sit in our favourite spot in return, they agreed if no one sat there. We appreciate the good service.
BUT, on June 29 (Saturday), my husband and I decided to have nachos for our mid night snack. We arrived at the restaurant at 11:13 in the evening with a scooter. We told them we want full nachos dine in, as we turned around to go where he was assigned us to the seat, we heard a loud voice cause all customers caught their attention and felt like we were doing badly to him. This man is screaming, " sir, no scooter is allowed as this is a restaurant and we're not responsible for your belongings." My husband calmly answered the man, " it is okay we sit there (pointing the close table to the door) and I will fold my scooter and put it under the table or put it Besides where we sit, where we can see the scooter but not outside, this scooter cost me 3k". This man was screaming and yelling at my husband saying ,"leave!". Then my husband asked, "can I talk to the manager?" This Man said, "I'm the manager!". Husband asked for his name but this manager screamed saying," why you need my name? I don't have to give you my name?!" He kicked us out because of his temper that's why you treated us rudely. You can talk to us calmly so you don't have to shout and yell, we're not kids! This manager can describe a tall man with pony hair, as we didn't have his name. We left the restaurant without having nachos before the manager escalate the situation. Thank you for the worst night mare we...
ย ย ย Read more"Savoury four cheese and seasoned beef combination wrapped in a delicious pasta shell smothered in an Italian sausage and beef meat sauce topped with provolone cheese. Served with dinner bread. " This is the description of the NEW lasagna dish on the menu. As far as i was concerned it was a big fail. If there was meat in it, i only found it because it was a piece of fat or ligament that i needed to remove from my mouth. The "cheese" that was between the pasta i assumed was supposed to be a ricotta... Which is white.. this was greyish. Very unappealing... No meat sauce that i could see. I looked for a tomato taste which was no where to be found... It initially looked promising.. but as i dissected it further it left me very disappointed. And to top it off, or rather not to top it off, pasta anywhere is usually served with Parmesan. When i asked i was told no.. it's not part of the ingredients. I was speechless. Unusual for me. To conclude, it was a huge fail.. the seasonings fought for dominance... Not a big winner. Do better Dennys. Mediocre food at its best. David Dutka
I should add that the staff are great. Service is friendly and attentive. No issues there at all. I've eaten here a lot through the years. Generally everything is just fine. This time i was very disappointed. Probably cuz i had an expectation and it just didn't meet...
