Edo Japan — Restaurant in Calgary

In the night of 13th August I went to Sunpark th 4104 location with my family for quick dinner at 9.28pm ,we start ordering for our 3 kids me and my husband and the lady how is taking our order sad we close at 10.00pm ,are you taking your order to go ?,I said no it will be cold we would like to eat hir,she repit we close at 10.00pm ,I said we still have 30 minutes to eat it is ok,she said ok but remember we close at 10.00pm we don't wait Intel you done then I told here to cancel our order ,and we change the location and we went to shawnessy store. I don't know why the lady was so mean to us when there were other customers at the store who placed their orders just before us and who were going to eat there too!!! I think because we had children with us and she didn't want to do the cleaning again because she already cleaned everything!! I'm really sorry if you don't pay your employees for extra working hours but it's not at all acceptable to treat...

Ok before tonight, I actually like eating with my girl at this location a lot, as she loved the open view. But it really disappointed us! We came after 7:40pm, I thought it was going to close as no any dinners were there. Then I’ve checked it open till 10pm. So we rushed in and felt great to have something warm and yummy to eat in such a chilly night. Then the staff gave me a plastic bag along with our dishes, I had a bad feeling that she tried to imply us to leave, cuz I didn’t even say TO GO when I ordered. When my little one and I were enjoying the food, turns out my instinct was right. Another staff started to use chemical detergent to mop the floor. Omg, that bad smell was so strong that we had to leave right away! EDO, this is not the way you treated your customers! Super rude! And there’s a small kid there, how can you send her away like this? Never go to this...

On June 28, 2024, at 4:30, I approached the counter to order. The lady at the front was busy counting coins. I waited patiently in front of her for quite a bit a but was not acknowledged. Politely, I asked if they were still open because there was no other costumers in the place to which she responded in a very irritated tone, "Yes, that's why I'm here." I then informed her that I was ready to order. I also just ordered 2 spring rolls to which she gave me a judgy look. Despite my usual positive experiences during my breaks at this place, this was the first time I encountered this particular lady, and she was quite rude. I later found that her name was Myla. I felt upset by the treatment I received today and have decided not to return...
