EDIT: I spoke with the owner and I am adding stars as to not hurt a local small business, but I am leaving what occured up. The employee is of course denying what he did, and the owner is taking his side. I don't want the kid fired, I won't push this further, it is what it is. It is just unfortunate. So be careful when responding to this business online. They said they have no idea how to do fake reviews, but I am looking through their reviews and see positive reviews from people in India, who have reviewed other businesses in Inida (no other businesses in Calgary other than FreshSlice). At the same time I was given a fake post, Freshslive got 2 positive reviews. They know how to do fake reviews, and they clearly lied to me. Those 2 5star reviews from FreshSlice have since been removed from Google.
EDIT: The kid that did this, looked me up online and posted a fake Google review calling me a conartist. So be careful when you complain about this company, they will take it a step further and now personaly defame and attack you online! Tonight, we ordered two for 1 on Uber for a bday party. Ubers 2 for 1 glitched and only added 1 to the cart. This varies by restaurant how they handle this. For example, at BK right now, qty 1 is actually 2 whoppers. Qty 2, is four. And so on.
So we messed it up, ok, fine. I was willing to come get more pizzas. But, in this scenario, to make matters worse they gave the wrong order to the Uber delivery. So we also got some other order entirely, and not the pizza we ordered. So we were out all 4 pizzas.
Still not a big deal.
We called, our intention was simple. We will deal with Uber but Uber won't deliver new pizza. As a long time customer I called to ask "If we get order the proper pizza, we won't have to wait an hour and half for a new uber delivery and I will come grab it. and get the refund from Uber."
We tried to explain what happened and all we got was yelled at and arrogance. The kid I spoke to kept saying "why you no understand, I show you receipt", and telling me that they aren't Uber. He just keeps repeating it. I can't even get him to understand that we also got the wrong pizza, AND the 2 for 1 didn't trigger, and to re-order the order. He just kept telling me the same thing and wouldn't listen to what is actually going on. When told we got the wrong order, he would say "I have receipt, I show you". When he then tells me "this not my problem, this sounds like a you problem" and yells at me... I snap.... I lose it. That's it, I'm coming down there. I am at level 10 angry now after being yelled at.
They keep thinking that I just won't listen that I have to speak to Uber or that I don't realize this was Ubers mistake. We keep telling we are dealing with Uber, let us explain what is going on, but nope. I keep trying to tell them we are dealing with Uber, they won't be doing anything for free to resolve this. But intead, they just yelled and argued, and wouldn't listen to a single word! They just think I'm some idiot yelling at the pizza place for Ubers mistake but my only issue with fresh slice was how they spoke to us! I don't care abotu the pizza, I care how they treated us when I tried to re-order.
Instead of even trying or offering any support or empathy all he did was tell at me and tell me that it sounded like my problem. Basically telling me to go F myself.
After me being a massive jerk and making a scene in the store I got my pizza. I took it home, and I put it in the compost. The same kid that was rude and arrogant, made my pizza behind a wall, out of site. I don't doubt I would be eating spit on pizza or worse.
So that's the last straw. I'm done with this place. I will take all of my business elsewhere. All of the people I referred when they just opened. I'm done. I feel bad for the owner. She is a nice lady but the kid just lost her all my...
Read moreI was really craving pizza and wanted to try something new. On UberEats, FreshSlice had a really good deal … or so I thought. $16.99 for 2 3-4 topper pizzas. Upon retrieving the boxes from the step I noticed that they felt very light. When opening up the boxes, I was met with the most saddest excuse of a “regular” crust pizza ever.
There were slices where, and I kid you not, the crust was so thin that my phone flashlight shined right through. These areas were maybe 1 mm thin.
I ordered pizzas with garlic sauce, chicken breast, mushrooms, black olives, and onions, and I couldn’t even taste the garlic sauce. There were maybe 2 thin rings of onions cut up between both pizzas, a sprinkle of cubed processed chicken, and what seemed like canned mushrooms.
I’m not sure how so many people have rated this place as high as they did because this pizza was the most bland sub-par thing I’ve ever tasted.

I came in tonight at 8pm for two slices of fresh pizza. It was my first time there so I asked what the difference between the feast and the classic deals. They told me they have no feast slices. Okay well I guess I’ll go with the classic. They show me the classics in the window. They don’t look fresh to me so I ask… when we’re these made?
The guy said 5 o’clock they were made fresh. Well I’m here at 8 o’clock so they’re not fresh slices… they are 3 hours old slices. I think you guys should change your name to “Almost Fresh Slice” or “Nearly Fresh Slice” or even “Previously Fresh Slice” lmao.
