Freshii — Restaurant in Calgary

I've been here about 6 times previously, and would give 5 stars for every other time. But this time (around 6:30pm) we were in a rush and, unfortunately found ourselves 4th in line at the till (not necessarily terrible). The gal taking the orders took all 4 orders and did fine. But by the time she'd finished taking my order, I realized that the first person was still waiting. The same gal working the till was also making the meals! So she then had to make 3+ meals before starting on ours. While she was making all these meals, 4 other parties came into the restaurant and were waiting before they could place their orders. Once we left with our food, we noticed our meals were smaller than the other times we've visited. Perhaps this was due to the poor gal being under pressure and rushing.

Hopefully this was just a one-off. Freshii, you're usually great. Maybe tonight you had a worker call in sick or something? But to have a solo person running a "fairly fast" food restaurant entirely by themselves is...

Place is way cleaner and better service and food. Was very happy.

Update: went back later and saw they had cleaned up the place, looked way better and felt better this time ordering food. Thank you for putting in the time and effort to address this issue.

1 year ago: Food is good and service was average - nothing bad or really good. However what I really didn’t like is how dirty the place is. It’s really disgusting and kind of turned me off of the food. There is garbage all over the floor, sticky counters, greasy floors, the number pad when paying was almost black with dust stuck on it. It looks like someone hasn’t had people come in and give it a thorough clean for months (other than a lazy sweep and mop job leaving the floor greasy). I’m sorry but It’s really nasty and needs some TLC. I went elsewhere to use the washroom because it was so bad. I don’t usually leave reviews and am not hard to please, but I’m sorry something...

Update: The owner reached out and figured out what the plastic was. The worker had put the bananas in the blender with saran wrap still on them. He said they will no longer be using saran wrap, he purchased new storage containers, so this won't happen again in the future.

Usually the food is good here, but CAREFUL, we just got a bunch of plastic in our smoothies. The worker says it had to have come from the canned coconut milk, but just incase anyone else experiences this, we got a ton of plastic in our drinks, our smoothies were literally have blended plastic. My kids had already drank almost a whole drink until I stopped them and checked, and at first I thought there was just little chunks of fruit in mine until I pulled out larger and larger pieces of plastic.
