Element Cafe — Restaurant in Calgary

They might have to start charging me rent - I'm here for the third time in three days (and just ordered my third round of refreshments for today's visit.) Not only is this cafe a fantastic place to park your butt, but their drinks and food are phenomenal. The red velvet cookies are going to be a problem.

When I first visited two days ago, I mentioned to the person on-staff at the time that I'd been looking for good places to complete my schoolwork (criteria being: wifi, comfortable chairs, outlets, open late, not too busy and staff not minding me moving in for several hours at a time, and gender-inclusive washrooms being a massive bonus.) The staff member said that catering to students was a large part of why they opened in the first place, and it shows. Nearly ever table has its own outlet, there are a variety of chairs of different comfort levels, the atmosphere isn't overwhelming even when it's busy, it's bright with chill lounge music at a reasonable level, there are two single-stall and not-gender-designated washrooms, they're open till 10pm every night, and the food and beverage options provide something for everyone.

Best drinks and service in the area. I work nearby, so I’ve tried a lot of other cafes around here, and so far I can safely say Element’s drinks are the best!

I always come here for the chai latte and matcha latte. I like that they don’t skimp on the chai or the matcha. Other places tend to use very little and end up serving me milk with barely any tea, and I end up feeling like I wasted my money. After regularly coming here for a couple months, Element never disappoints! I also dearly love the matcha cookies with white chocolate, please never stop making them! I don’t know any other places that make those anymore. The spinach and feta roll is also super tasty!!

Service is excellent. The manager and staff started to recognize me after just a few visits, and always greets me and everyone in the cafe very warmly. I was pleasantly surprised at how friendly the vibes are.

You might expect to wait a little longer for your drink during peak hours. But if that’s no problem for you, Element is definitely the best cafe I’ve tried...

🍴😍 Just had an amazing dining experience at Element Cafe in Canada! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm and inviting ambiance. The decor was modern yet cozy, and the staff was friendly and attentive.

I started off with the roasted beet salad and it was one of the best salads I've ever had! The roasted beets were perfectly cooked and paired wonderfully with the goat cheese and walnuts. For the main course, I ordered the salmon dish and it was cooked to perfection. The salmon was moist and flaky, and the accompanying vegetables were fresh and flavorful.

And let's talk about dessert! I had the chocolate truffle cake and it was simply divine. The cake was rich and chocolatey, and the truffle center was an unexpected surprise. It was the perfect ending to a delicious meal.
