Went to this place, yesterday, late, around 11:30 pm. My bf and I were hungry and busy all day, so I didn't cook and was too late to go anywhere else. Calgary for you. But we drove through downtown and decided to stop there to try it out for the first time. Place was pretty busy for Sunday night. We ordered beef and chicken shawarma and falafels. Mohammed made our food. He told us upfront, they make falafels to order, so it'll take a bit longer. We were not in the rush. We waited for about 15-17 mins, but it was worth it. Mohammed, was very apologetic about the wait, and they also ran out of beef, but they had kabab meat, so he substituted it. And to be honest, worth the wait. Shawarma is hands down, one of the best I've ever had. The spices are so on point and hit the spot! Falafels fresh and moist. Most places, their falafels are dry, but not here! He gave us some extra sauce, for the wait, and Mohammed is just a nice friendly guy. He was very polite, apologized at least 5 times for the wait, and he was working hard. Making sure all customers were happy. And I watched others eat and enjoying the food. We took our food home and loved it! While we were leaving, Mohammed said, hope you enjoy your food and hope to see you guys again. And guess what, Mohammed, we are coming back soon! Food, delicious 5/5! Service, Mohammed 5/5! Atmosphere, 2/5, maybe 3, but it's cause this place is downtown and so many homeless sitting right in front, but not much the owners can do. Overall, great service and delicious food! So, if you guys, are hungry, it's late and you don't know where to order from, this is the place! They are open till 3 am! I'll never be stuck again, on where to eat at the late hour. Definitely recommend. And also, the owner was there, making sure everything is in order. Which says a lot. Dedicated owners run their businesses as they should. Pleasant experience. Guy, try it out, you won't regret it. They spices though, yum 😋 🤤 and the meat is good. And falafels....

To this was my first visit here and while I enjoyed the food that I received it wasn't what I asked for. The signage on the menu board above the cook station cuz conflicting prices. They also advertise at beef and chicken burger that sells for $11.99. I asked the staff about it and they said no it's either chicken or be not both
Beside that sign I noticed different sign advertising chicken burger fries and a pop for $9.99 And that's what I ordered. What came to me was it cheeseburger. I asked him if that was chicken he said no I ordered a cheeseburger. I didn't appreciate the argument and I didn't want to deal with it so I just sat down and ate it in true Canadian fashion 😄. It was good and I would definitely order it again. I asked the cook if he had salt and pepper for the fries he said no the other gentleman said something to him and then he reached for the container of salt and offered me the salt but.. there is no pepper. I was kind of surprised by this as pepper is a fairly common spice in most restaurants as far as I can remember.
I've attached the photos of what I was talking about.
Overall a good experience and I could recommend you come in for a nice...
Read moreReply to owners comment: fake story? Just added another video to show he’s lying. Also at my profile and reviews I take reviewing establishments very seriously. The owner is a LIAR because there IS a washroom inside and I even asked how come this man and his child could use it but not my friend and the employee there said because they were buying “food” and we were only buying ice cream but also it seems only because they were the same race as him and we were not. This establishment is a disgrace to customer service.
Horrible horrible service. I am appalled by the behaviour of the guy with ponytail and the grey haired man. We were going to buy ice cream and my friend wanted to wash her hands prior to holding her cone BUT they were so rude that they denied access to the bathroom to my friend who is also disabled just because we were not buying food. He said ice cream wasnt food so we cannot use the washroom. I can’t believe this is an establishment in Canada. They clearly do not know what proper customer service is. I am beyond appalled and will never be a patron at this establishment ever again. I will also advise everyone I know of my bad experience and how rude they are. They need to educate themselves on what proper customer service is and to respect ALL their customers the same no matter what they consume in their establishment and not to be restrictions on what is required to consume just to utilize...
