Calgary Public Library - Memorial Park — Attraction in Calgary

I really love this library because the staff are so great! The recent interior renovations have matched the beauty of the exterior; making the space much more functional and modern. The only downside is the fact that they don't have as large of a selection of reading material that the other libraries maintain. However, if you order your books online, you can pick them up at any suitable location. Do be cognizant of the creepers in the park though. As I was walking through with my 2 children, a man appeared with a syringe in his hands. We veered off path to avoid him. After we returned our books in the book drop and rounded the corner to the main entry, there he was sitting on the stair case shooting up in broad daylight. Lovely library with pleasant staff. I’ve really enjoyed tutoring here for the past six months. I was recently told that I was speaking too loud and that I may bother other patrons. I work out of libraries most days for both my tutoring job and my other job as a support worker. I have yet to run into this problem in other libraries, but I have seen quite a few people be talked to about their noise level in this specific one. Other libraries have quiet study sections, and I wonder if that’s a possible solution to this problem.
