First of all, my parents approve okay, that's saying something already. Over my lifetime they've constantly been searching for authentic dishes here and there and are alsways displeased by something. This place seems to have some educated and traditional chefs in the back that know what they're doing. Food - is authentic. #1, Chinese sparibs shoudnt be battered. These ones were perfect, no batter and have a ginger beef twist on them and my parents for once in my 24 years of life enjoyed them. They also search as far as I've seen, Chinese coup dumplings THAT ACTUALLY HAVE SOUP IN THEM. I can't stress how hard that is to find for some reason in Calgary. Overall though, they pay attention to detail, and don't miss those small ingredients that many other chinese restaurants lack or are too lazy to find and put in. Everything's always fresh and well presented, and the quality which you can see the duck wrap in my photos is really good. They don't buy cheap fatty meat or vegetables, they give you "the good stuff" Appearance - building is fine, easy to spot, parking is extremely hard because it shares with the entire mall. Seating is well sectioned. They have a giant glass, almost soundproof wall where you can see the chefs making food. You can see them make your dimsum from the rice paper, to the filling to being steamed and being sent out to your table. It's clean and it's organized. Staff - the staff here are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They don't typically have to go to the back to ask if they have something, they already know. If you ask someone that's not a waitress and just a "cart lady" they will gladly ask for you. They're quick and can also give good recommendations. Price - I'd say is totally fair and worth it. It's much better than other places yet the price really isn't much more.

šŸŒ Enjoyable Dining Experience šŸŒ Date: Oct 20 2019 Rating: ā˜†ā˜†ā˜†ā˜† Table for 6 Occasion: Dinner Pro's • 3 dish peking duck was well prepared on this occasion. • Sweet and sour Chinese steak was very tender and flavourful • Ginger beef was fresh and well prepared. • Salt & Pepper Calamari was well cooked with good seasoning. • Service was excellent from our waiter. Con's • Decore and washrooms requires a higher level of maintenance and refreshing. Our second attendance after a couple of years absence, the restaurant exhibited remarkable improvement to food quality and service. Good quality to price can now be experienced at this location. šŸ˜‘ Mediocre Dining Experience Date: Aug 17 2017 Rating: ā˜†ā˜†ā˜† Table for 5 Occasion: Dinner The quality of the 3 dish Peking duck plus 3 other menu items were quite good. The timing between our 3 menu items were quite extended with an enquiry to our server at the end of our meal that the ginger beef remained outstanding. Food pricing was higher than expected given the exrended time between dishes resulting in a poor family style meal experience. Better timimg of the food dishes to our table would have justified the higher pricing.

Ginger beef house is a place we usually go if we're traveling to Calgary and looking for dinner after hitting cross iron mall. Duck 3 piece: The duck was juicy and crispy that came with cucumbers and green onions. The flour wraps were thin and tasty. ( Monday-Friday is a bit cheaper_ Hot and spicy soup: The soup was warm enough and the soup spoke for itself. It could've been spicier, but that's my own preference. Sweet and sour pork: The pork was just okay as it was soft and wasn't crispy. The dish was luke warm even with the sauce. Steamed tofu with mushroom: The mushroom was really flavorful and the tofu was really bouncy. The bean curd sauce was really rich and thick on top of the enoki mushrooms. I personally would go again as their duck and their food is generally decent for their prices.

CAUTION! My family has been going to this location, since the business has been opened. It is beyond clear that they are struggling, on all fronts when it comes to running a successful restaurant. The place is always less than half full, in comparison to the past where you were expected to wait to be seated. Due to high volume and full capacity. Our experience was absolutely disgusting and completely unacceptable. From the second we were greeted at the door, from the time we left. We were treated poorly and the staff was beyond rude. This resulted in us expressing our valid concerns, due to medical reasons which was dismissed as well as ignored and was met with ignorant staff walking away while we were in mid sentence when asking them to correct their error. We calmy and quietly tried to express our valid concerns and instead of doing the right thing and correcting the issues, they became argumentative, loud and tried to pretend they didn't understand english. Without being reasonable or understanding they continued to hand us a bill for the full amount plus demanding a 10% tip, which was automatically on the bill. A tip is not required or demanded, it is earned after providing excellent service. Throughout the meal they never came once to check on us, we had to get up for proper cutlery and napkins. As well as not refilling our drinks. When asking to speak to the manager, the staff upfront lied repeatedly. By saying that the manager went home for the day. But once we demanded results in our situation he magically appeared. He was equally as rude, save your time and hard earned money. Boycott this place at all...

An establishment in business as long as this restaurant should be better at managing their food orders. Xmas eve I show up at 4:20pm and put in an order, they say it should be 45 minutes because its early. I show up at 5:15pm to pick it up. I wait another 2 hours and they still haven't even started my food order. They are a greedy bunch who takes as many orders as they can and dont care about the customer waiting on Christmas Eve. They only worry about how much they can profit instead of managing what their kitchen can do efficiently. The front lied over and over saying its next, or its close, or were working on it, or we put a rush on it. Then finally at 7:15pm they admitted not even starting it. I got the refund and went to Thai Express for 1/3 of the price and got my order in 10 minutes. My wife and kid were waiting in the car (just picked them up from the airport) for over 2 hours. I gave up, this business is just that, a business, who never tried to make anything right. They would hang up on people calling, cancel orders online without phoning the customer, it was horrible to watch. These people arent smart enough to figure out how much their kitchen can handle. Running around lying about orders and how long it will take. We made plans around their promises but they only serve words, over and over. Should be embarassed, shameful treatment of customers on Christmas Eve. Hopefully Karma squishes this establishment and their lies. Sorry Sorry, yeah we get it, you are actually pathetically sorry. Stay away and patronize a restaurant that values...
