Location: country village NE one beside Cibo Italian resto. Getting this out of the way, Asian at the till… well robot, reactionless & no-smile attitude. Not sure what deal was. Here’s hoping it’s just a bad day & everything will work out. But, here’s the remarkable thing, for some reason , another staff, name’s Carlo replaced her. Smiling, engaging & you can tell he adores what he’s doing or it’s just in his Filipino blood (you wondering , how do I know, because he told me so 😆). Anyways, went here for dinner because my 12-yr old daughter was feeling Thai express ( her own cute words). Carlo took the order & conversing continued on & the head cook/team leader, presumably…joined in! Name’s kuya Rommel(another smiling upbeat Filipino) again, how do I know… he told me so 😆 Back to ordering food that Carlo was taking. Daughter’s was the mild beef pad-sew, mine was regular spiced shrimp basil fried rice & since the wife was work that evening, decided to order her for take out: regular spicy beef pad Thai. Not sure if it’s the charm or adorable face of my daughter( I doubt it’s me😃) BUT Carlo & team-leader Kuya Rommel comped her w/a spring roll & another meal! I refused that, I live by the mantra “ business-is business” But golly, the two just insisted: huge shoutout to those 2 gentleman staff! Took chicken Tom-yum soup, which was another to-go-meal. Here’s my daughter’s review of her food + spring roll; great, wholesome & just right for a kid’s taste buds. Great enough of a review for me! As for my regular spiced shrimp basil fried rice. Awesomely done& piping hot. Fresh basil working well w/ soya fried rice & w/ the plump delicious, a bit charred, shrimps & there were a lot … that’s what I like no skimping on ingredients & as close to Thailand street food as possible Satisfied with that & will order it again, when occasion arises. Those were the only 2 dine-in meals that I reviewed. Apologies for no-reviews for the take outs other than just being grateful for the freebies, smiles & lovely...

Esteemed connoisseurs of fine cuisine, I find it necessary to recount my fourth encounter with this establishment, facilitated through the esteemed service of DoorDash. Regrettably, it is with a heavy heart that I express my consternation, as my previous experiences have been marred by consistent inaccuracies in the fulfillment of my orders. The allocation of ingredients, it grieves me to report, has been notably scant.

In my most recent endeavor, I sought the delectable sustenance of the Yellow Thai Curry, a dish of great repute. To my dismay, the dish presented to me contained a mere trifling of carrot pieces, and to my astonishment, lacked the presence of the cherished pineapple, an integral component that has long epitomized the essence of this esteemed creation. The absence of this pivotal element greatly perturbed my sensibilities, and I found myself consumed by a profound sense of disappointment.

Alas, this regrettable occurrence stands as the proverbial final straw, leading me to the solemn conclusion that my patronage of this establishment must henceforth cease. I shall, with a heavy heart, seek my future repasts from alternative purveyors who exhibit a steadfast commitment to the preservation of...

We decided to try this place for the first time tonight and unfortunately like so many other places in the city I am thoroughly disappointed. The service was actually really great, with the staff fully helping us walk through the different steps. The disappointment happened when we got home. My girl is a vegetarian and specifically asked for the vegan option for her Pad Thai with Tofu. Lo and behold, there’s CHICKEN mixed in with her tofu! Vegans and vegetarians beware! We had hoped to add this place to our list of good places to go on Friday night, but it looks as though we will be heading next...

I ordered the General Tao chicken plate for about 12 bucks. The chicken was heavily breaded in a gooey sauce with carrots and onions. All this on a bed of plain rice. It tasted ok, nothing too special. It gave me a bit of a sore gut after, probably the spices. I expected coconut rice, but they didn’t have that. Not enough veggies, tasteless rice and so so flavoured. Not that healthy so I won’t be returning. Not that friendly staff who don’t greet you or say goodbye. I definitely didn’t get that warm and fuzzy feeling on arrival or departure. So I say bye bye.

Had lunch at Thai Express. Service was fast and very friendly. I had the General Thai with crispy chicken - it was phenomenal. A good covering of sauce and it paired well with the coating on the chicken. My friend ordered the fried chicken dumplings as a side - wow! Not something I would have normally thought of ordering on my own but I’ll definitely have them again. They were hot and full of flavour. We ate in the restaurant and it was very clean. Can’t wait to go back and sample the rest of the menu.
