I’ve given Kolachi multiple chances, but after my last visit, I’m done. If you care about your health, stay far, far away from this place. The first time I went, I ended up with food poisoning that left me sick for days. I figured maybe it was a one-time thing, but no – on another visit, I found a hair in my paratha roll. Absolutely disgusting and unsanitary.
What’s worse is how the owners respond to any form of constructive criticism. If you don’t give them a glowing 5-star review, they immediately dismiss your experience as fake or blame it on something else. They’re more interested in protecting their precious reputation than actually addressing the serious issues with their food and service. Their attitude towards customers who dare to leave anything less than a perfect review is downright embarrassing.
Kolachi, if you’re reading this, you need to take a long, hard look at how you’re running your business. Instead of getting mad at customers who have had a bad experience, maybe try actually listening and making improvements. But I’m not holding my breath – based on your track record, I’m sure you’ll just write this off as another “fake review” and continue with business as usual. Shame on you.
EDIT - Unreal. You’ve really outdone yourselves with that delusional and defensive response. Instead of addressing the fact that your food made me sick and that I found a hair in my meal, you launch into some bizarre rant about "rizk" and accuse me of posting fake reviews out of envy? Give me a break. The only thing that's “keeping me up at night” is how utterly clueless and arrogant you are.
Let’s get one thing straight: I’ve NEVER EVER posted another review of your place, but after the way you handled this, I wish I had sooner. The fact that you can’t even imagine someone having a bad experience at your restaurant shows just how detached you are from reality. Your knee-jerk reaction to attack a customer instead of taking accountability shows how brittle your ego is.
And let’s talk about how you handle every single negative review. You act like a thug, attacking customers who dare to speak up about their bad experiences. You make it your mission to tear down anyone who doesn’t give you a glowing 5-star review. It’s not only unprofessional – it’s downright pathetic. Every time someone points out an issue, you either call it fake or respond with some over-the-top aggression as if that’s going to solve anything.
But what’s even more disgraceful is how you constantly bring Allah’s name into this. Using religion to deflect from your own shortcomings is not only disrespectful but also deeply inappropriate. If someone voices their honest opinion about a bad experience, stop taking it personally and start taking it as an opportunity to improve. I’ve never seen another business act this way. Most places, when they get a negative review, act like professionals – they reach out to the customer, apologize for the experience, and try to make it right. That’s how you earn respect, and that’s how you turn a negative situation into a positive one.
If you showed even a fraction of the respect and care that other businesses do when dealing with criticism, maybe people would actually go back and change their negative reviews. But instead, you dig yourself deeper with every self-righteous, aggressive response. It’s clear you don’t care about your customers; you only care about maintaining your fragile ego.
To anyone reading this, take a good look at how this guy responds to negative reviews. It’s the same story every time: he can’t handle any form of criticism, so he lashes out like a child instead of acting like a responsible business owner. It’s no wonder people are fed up with this place. The way you treat your customers is a complete disgrace, and the only thing you’re achieving is driving more of them away. Keep proving me right; it’s the only thing...
Read moreThis is a disappointing restaurant, not food-wise, but in terms of customer service. I was reading the one-star reviews and the responses from the owner to the feedback is disgusting. Saying things like “… let your prestige ego out…Give other people your constructive advice if you have any but leave your frustration for your pals…. No one asked you to come and eat..it was your choice and your friend recommended,” and “fake review.” Also accusing people of making negative reviews with different accounts. Like what, do you really have enough proof of that? I just wanna know
There’s so many long ago and recent responses like this to innocent customers just trying to help others by providing feedback. The purpose of the Google reviews is to provide NEGATIVE and POSITIVE feedback so the place can improve. Like, think about the DEFINITION of a Google review. I have never seen a restaurant in my life with such disgusting responses to customer feedback. In my opinion, makes the establishment look even worse. Customer service is KEY.
Secondly, Alberta health services NEEDS to check this place out I might have to contact them for an inspection. I’m sorry I got sick for 5 days after eating from here and lots f my friends have experienced the same. The food TASTED okay though but I had to wait an hour for it when the place was 60% empty, a little embarrassing in front of my friends.
Aside from that, I think the decor is amazing, and the seating is by far the best in Calgary! The first waitress we had was pleasant. The location is also fabulous. The lighting is fantastic, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant is 5/5.
Overall a horrible experience! Not coming again!! Not letting my buds come here either!
These negative Google reviews are meant for them to improve on in the future. We understand it may hurt your business but this feedback could help it more than it hurts, every other eatery is Calgary gets...
Read moreI visited Kolachi BBQ and Grill yesterday with high expectations, but unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. Here are the main issues I encountered:
Service: The service was extremely slow and unprofessional. We had to wait a considerable amount of time before our orders were taken, and the staff seemed uninterested and inattentive. Requests for water refills and additional napkins were ignored multiple times, which was quite frustrating. Food Quality: The food was very disappointing. I ordered the chicken and it was overcooked. The BBQ items lacked the authentic smoky flavor typical of Pakistani cuisine, and the biryani was bland and lacked proper seasoning. The meat was tough and dry, and the naan was not fresh. Cleanliness: The cleanliness of the restaurant was below standard. Our table was sticky, and the utensils looked unclean. The restroom facilities were poorly maintained, which raised concerns about overall hygiene. Ambiance: The ambiance did not match the restaurant’s theme. The music was too loud and mismatched, making it difficult to enjoy our meal or have a conversation. The decor seemed dated and poorly maintained. Value for Money: Considering the quality of food and service, the prices were unjustifiably high. The meal did not feel worth the cost, and I left feeling disappointed with the overall...
