Visited tonight for dinner, we had 3 in our group and knew that it was super bowl tonight and we were expecting it to be pretty busy. There were only 2 other tables that had patrons eating, otherwise it was dead. We put in an order for some nachos with half cheese and half without (one person has allergies) and a bruschetta. Our server came back and said the kitchen was not able to do half only with cheese.... they had to do 2 plates for it. (We still cant wrap our heads around this one) after that we decided on what we wanted to have for our actual meals. Waited a while before the waitress came back and asked if we wanted more to drink and after we ordered more she started walked away and I had to call her back to say we wanted to order. We all placed our order of 2 steak sandwiches and one shrimp teriyaki bowl. Food came and it looked ok, we got a chicken teriyaki bowl not a shrimp (brought this up to the server to say it was wrong, she put in a new order to correct it.) The 2 steak sandwiches were a pitiful size of the price of 22dollars per. It looked as though they were the nights special for the same price. My steak tasted like it was left to soak in something for a long time before it was cooked and it had no seasoning or flavor to it. Same thing with the other too. The rice in the shrimp bowl was soggy.... almost like the kitchen just took off the topping of the one that was messed up and added new toppings and sauce. So food was bad......
As for the drinks.... we had Cesar's and beer. The Cesar's were messed up and tasted horrible.... we did try to ask for the managers card and they didnt have any in the office only a survey card to fill out online. ( they didnt even offer to write down the managers email for us or even her name)
So not going again. I have eaten at other oj locations and always love it. But not this one.. oh and kitchen staff seemed more concerned about watching the game then actually cooking and...
Read moreThe wings were over cook and under sauced, some barely had any and when we asked for a small amount of cheese on the nachos...they came out covered. Kitchen sucks but the rest of the place isnt bad.
Update a year later, went in for SB night...literally a total of 13 people in the entire place, not a good look. Our food took forever to get placed, there was one waitress for the whole restaurant, we ordered nachos with half cheese half not...was told they couldn't do that (Ive worked in many restaurants, this is a simple request but ok.) Nachos were garbage and hardly warm, the kitchen made more work for themselves by not just putting half cheese on it and sending it out, guess that was too easy. Ordered shrimp teriyaki, got chicken, it seemed very lazily put together and when i corrected it suddenly food showed up when it took 20 minutes for the original order which tells me they didnt remake it but just took the chicken out and put the old food back on. It was actually so bad I could only eat about 5 bites and sent it back, disgusting and weird after taste. Wife ordered steak sandwich that was maybe the size of my palm and charged $22 for maybe a $8 meal. Wife ordered two caesar's with no Tabasco, had so much Worcestershire sauce the drinks were gross. The manager wasn't there (on super bowl night, how does that happen!?)so we dealt with people who had zero power or authority to do anything. Any proper business maybe would have charged us for a drink or two and no food considering my whole table didnt eat our food yet still charged over $100 for lack luster everything. Waitress even brought to go container's and we refused to take it home, even for our dog to eat. Will never go back, should have taken the hint when its the biggest night in football and the...
Read more2 days ago my boyfriend and I decided to celebrate our 19th anniversary at Original Joe's for dinner. When we walked in the restaurant was packed but we were able to find a table for 2 in the back area. Our waitress who unbeknownst to us was very new and was starting to get overwhelmed with how busy it was. She took our drink order and took a very long time to bring them to us. Then when we ordered our dinner I watched her write it all down. My pop was really flat and watered down so I asked for a different drink and she came back and had forgotten to order it. Then my boyfriend ordered another beer and that took about 10 minutes for her to bring it. When our food finally came my meal was wrong. I pointed it out to her and she didnt really say anything to me about it. Normally when a mistake is made new food is offered or even a manager is told and comes over to chat. Our waitress decided to stop coming to our table and another girl came over and gave us the bill. My boyfriend paid and we were going to leave but I was very unhappy with the service and I wanted to let a manager know. I asked to speak to the manager and she was so nice and really understanding and gave us a full refund and even told us that we were not the first to say something about this waitress. She promised that the waitress would get sat down and talked to about it. I know she was new so this must have been a huge learning experience for her. Hopefully it will help her become a better waitress! We will go back to Original Joe's because we usually have awesome service and the manager made me feel better that it was a one...
