Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Calgary

They redeemed themselves tonight. Are you ordering a pepperoni pizza and it was fantastic! Arrived hot and fresh. I asked for extra pepperoni and they loaded it up. I wish their pizza could be like this every time I order from there. I also ordered the boneless chicken wings (10) and they put extra in. A very nice touch. Happy with everything tonight, so back to 5 stars for Papa John's Arbour Lake.

The last two pizza's were fantastic, but tonight they failed. Inconsistency still lurks at this location. Whoever made my pizza's last week knoew how to make a customer happy. Tonight however the pizza was skimpy on toppings and I couldn't even notice the extra cheese. Paid for it, but saw no difference between regular chees and extra cheese. Come on guys, get consistent with your pizza's. Because they are great when made properly.

Order of 2 small pizzas arrived missing one dip. On one pizza we had paid for extra cheese and extra pepperoni, but it was no different from the regular pizza. Rip off! Plus our two drinks were room temperature. Thanks for delivering our drinks so we can enjoy them later after we chill them. The BBQ Chicken pizza had barely enough BBQ sauce to taste it and was loaded with onions which we had to pick off. No consistency at this location, and a disappointment. Yet we keep getting prompted for tips. Tips for what? Poor service and quality?

Well my 5 star review didn't last long. Tonight the pizza was sub par. Low on toppings just like back in the past. Nostalgia. Tonight I cashed in $10 of Papa Dough which brought my pizza down to $12. Well they made me a $12 pizza alright. Low on toppings and cheese. This location just can't get it right. Also the driver stood at my door knocking repeatedly until I answered. On my order I requested contactless "Leave order at door". This means leave it at the door and drive away. It doesn't mean stand there and knock until I answer. When I opened the door I asked him to just leave it at the door. He rudely flopped it down on an angle so my pizza would slide to one side of the box. Then without words just walked away.

For some reason I gave them another chance tonight. FANTASTIC food!! Pizza and cheese sticks arrived piping hot, and loaded with cheese and toppings! I actually looked at my receipt because I thought I must had accidentally ordered from a different location. But no, the order came from the Arbour Lake location. I called up the store to ask if they had new owners or management because the food was so much better. The Manager said, "No, we are just trying to do better". Well this is exactly what keeps customers returning. They will see profits rise by keeping customers happy. Five start food tonight. Hope they keep this up.

Tonight I gave this Papa Johns location another chance. Mainly because I had a $20 credit from the last bad experience on May 13th. I've bumped them up to a 2 star rating because my pizza was awesome tonight. And believe it or not so was the Jalapeno poppers. They finally had cream cheese in them. I had phoned in my order and talked to staff about the problems with their poppers. He said there would be cream cheese in them as they would make a batch properly. He was right, they were awesome. Before I creep up their stars reviews there will need to be consistency in the next...

For several years now, I’ve been a loyal customer at this Papa John's location, and they continue to impress me with both the quality of their food and their remarkable level of service. The pizzas are consistently fresh, generous, and delicious, and I typically place my orders through the app for a quick pickup experience.

On a recent visit, I accidentally ordered a pizza with bacon, which I don’t eat. Shortly after placing the order, I received a call from the store. One of the team members noticed the bacon and remembered our dietary preferences, going so far as to confirm if this was intentional. I admitted my oversight, and without hesitation, they prepared a new pizza without the bacon—all before I even arrived to pick it up.

This level of attention to detail and care shows a commitment to customer service that goes far beyond what’s expected. Their thoughtfulness in catching the mistake, taking the initiative to verify it, and correcting it before I arrived exemplify the best in customer care.

Knowing that they’re looking out for us and willing to go the extra mile is why this location remains our top choice for pizza. Thank you to the wonderful staff for consistently making our experience exceptional—we genuinely...

I looooove pizza. HOWEVER...I Refuse to order from this location ever again. Ordered a pizza (had a promo coupon from the radio). Called in advance and they said they take them. Then I arrived to get the pizza, and he told me the coupon wasn't valid because it wasn't initialed and didn't have an expiry date on it. I explained (as it was stamped on the coupon too) that it came from a Christian radio station (Shine FM). Highly doubtful they'd be stealing and giving these away on a radio show contest. He told me it wasn't valid. End of story. He then insisted I pay for the pizza ... Even though when I called I told him I had the coupon to use for it. He then kept the coupon... And didn't give it back (granted I forgot to ask for it I was so angry) To wrap this up.... the customer service at this location is brutal. Horrible. Doesn't deserve your hard earned dollar. This happened a few months ago.... And I've been stewing...
