Use to be a long time customer, and typically phoned in orders. Thought I ordered rice and got something completely different. Called the owner to come up with the solution. Restaurant owner was completely rude, refused to provide a solution and hung up on me. I won't be back. Just a warning to others not to support this restaurant. Plenty of other better choices with owners that have better character.
As you can see from the owner's response he is completely unapologetic. Anyway, I placed the order through Skip The Dishes, and explained the situation to them exactly. Skip agreed with me and promptly refunded me (I'm not banned and got my refund, restaurant owner is clueless).
And a note to the owner - when you describe something as "rice" make sure you provide rice (don't expect your customer to "google" it). And BTW if you do google what you served most places describe it as "Soup". Perhaps add that word to your menu instead of blaming your customer. You clearly need to work on your customer service skills. If you are offering something non traditional describe it accurately. If anyone else has issues with this restaurant, Skip the Dishes is...
Read moreWent there weeks ago with Chinese friends based on their good review, who got skeptical when they realized it’s located by a gas station. Small place. Tables are jammed together. (All these don’t matter if they serve decent food.) First time dining there, we wanted to be cautious and figured how a restaurant could screw up fried food. However, it’s a shock that they could even mess up with deep fried food multiple times! They were Over-fried and bland. The table next to us ordered 10+ dishes for their big gathering including lobsters and about half of them were asked to be remade. For those who do not know what authentic Chinese food is: this is not a place for authentic Chinese food. I feel deeply sorry for whoever went there and thought they are getting authentic Chinese food. Not to mention the guy will get angry if you don’t give expected % of tips. Never going there again. This kind of cooking skills won’t make them survive within the first 6 months in China. Shame. For the “foodie” who is leaving a five star comment here (and obviously being paid by or affiliated with the restaurant): you are a fraud and you just wasted my time...
Read moreIt pains me to do this... I thought I’d give this place one last try... I sit here on the porcelain throne typing my review, no more try’s. I ate here one time and it was great, I had found a place to put in our rotation. It has now been removed. Let me surmise my latest experience; I ordered a handful of items, spring rolls, not bad. Chown Mein; it had a hair in it but I can look past that, it happens I get it. Beef with Ginger and Green Onion, my three year old son spent 23 mins chewing one piece, it had to of been at least 40 mins on the first one, so I set a timer for his second go... Lemon Chicken, now this is one of my all time fav’s, this time the chicken was battered in cake mix. Try it, I dare you. The chicken left me questioning, was that chicken? I didn’t realize it could be cooked like that, not in a good way either. The Papa Shunde Rice... not bad.
I used to like this place, but there’s so many better options in the NW. If you do decide to give it a try please come back here and tell...
