WORST INDIAN RESTAURANT IN CANADA

I normally don't write reviews with tittle like this but I felt like sharing my recent visit to this restaurant. I called this place and asked them about the menu and finally decided to order Lental Daal and Tandoori Roti. This dish can be found in other Indian restaurants with the name of daal makhni.Its definitely not one of the best looking Indian restaurant.Its more like a store.I picked up the food and spend $16.00 dollars for it.When I reached home and unwrapped the food I was really shocked and really angry at just looking at the quality of food and way they have made it. They gave me Yellow Lental Daal instead of Daal Makhni I ordered over the phone and they did not give me tandoori Roti and instead gave me home made roti which was so thick to eat and really poorly made.I mean I did not expect the quality of food will be that bad.It was horrible and I felt so bad that I wasted my $16.00 on this food.I called the restaurant and talked to guy who took my order and I said I did not order what u gave me and he started arguing with me and very rudely replied to not buy food from this restaurant again.I was really shocked to hear that.Instead of trying to understand and calm the situation he even made it worse and its truly due to lack of customer service skills.I hung up the phone and I told him I will share my experience with others.

Please do yourself a favor and try other indian restaurants like tamarind, La Jawaab , Marina Dosa or Radisson Hotel Buffet if you want good...

Ordered five dishes over the phone and went to pick up the food and since my order wasn't ready I was told to pay which I did and was told by the owner that he will bring the food to the car. I requested for a itemized bill which he was reluctant to give saying he has it inside the kitchen which was suspicious. After we finished dinner I started comparing and found out that four dishes were priced above the menu prices and web site. Upon calling him I asked for his name several times which he was reluctant to give and the answer I got was that the prices change without any notice. I told him that this was totally incorrect and was told that they will change the prices asap. Even some of the dishes/combos are not available even though they are advertised for over a year and the excuse given was no customers. Timings for lunch is given but does not operate for lunch over a year. The restaurant looks very shabby and not presentable at all and even the food is average. I have no hesitation in informing the relevant authorities to check specially on this restaurant. It is extremely hard after covid but if you are trying to be unfair to your customers there is no excuse. I'm not expecting anything in return but there are customers who will keep a blind eye and who might not realize that they have been over charged which is a form of cheating! During my discussion I felt he was not sincere and honest but abrupt and wanted to cut the line off hence I have no alternative but to bring it to the notice of the relevant...

We ordered take out and the person on the phone was so friendly. Food was ready on time when we went to pick up. Most places are always late so this was a pleasant surprise. The food was packed in plastic bowl containers and was so hot. I think styrofoam would be a better take out container for the curries. Getting the lids off to eat was like playing hot potato.

The food was delicious though. We got fish malay curry, the eggplant dish and a lamb curry. All flavours were distinctively different from each other. Some other restaurants seem to use the same curry base and just change the protein but it wasn't the case here. The lamb curry had a nice cinnamon undertone to its curry. The fish curry was sweeter. The eggplant dish was a dryer dish and was the spiciest of the dishes we ordered. Nothing was too spicy for us and we loved the warnings on the menu if it was a dish that was super spicy.

The naan bread was my favourite. It was so different from any other I've ever had. It was fluffy in parts and flat in others. The fluffy parts was so soft like bread. We loved it. Tasted so freshly made.
