Some of the best Thai food in Calgary, but it can be spicy.
Food: chicken skewers are the best in the city - tender, flavourful, perfectly charbroiled, and yummy sauce. Green curry is quite spicy, even when mild is requested. Good flavour and a good portion. Papaya salad is excellent, fresh and crisp. And the pad Thai was solid, although nothing too special. A previous time we ordered khao soi and Tom ka gai which were excellent and would reorder again.
Service: very friendly, but there are some limitations with English with certain staff. We had a reservation but stood at the doorway for a good few minutes before someone came over to greet us. Service was then slow after we were seated upstairs and we had to get our own high chair. I chose to order through the app, and food was brought out at a reasonable time but left wondering why I’m tipping 15%…. Server did a couple of table checks though, and topped up water once. After we were mostly done our meal.
Atmosphere: it’s interesting since they share the space with a distillery. Some neat decor to add to the vibe. There was a variety of seating and very busy for a Thursday night.
Value: prices are a little bit on the higher end, for example, $6.99 for coconut rice (taking into account the portion size) is a bit steep, considering the level of service. But for the quality and tastiness of the food, the price alone doesn’t prevent us from going back.
Overall, for the dishes they offer, it’s very yummy. I find it surprising they don’t offer red curry - which is a staple for a lot of Thai restaurants. But the food offered is elevated and prepare with a...

Having tried numerous Thai restaurants before, I can confidently say that this place takes the crown. Each dish was bursting with flavors that transported me straight to the streets of Thailand. The attention to detail in the preparation and presentation of the food was truly commendable.
One of my favorite dishes was the fried rice and the sausages. The balance of sweet, sour, and savory flavors was spot on, and the noodles were cooked to perfection. Another standout dish was the Curry. The creamy coconut milk base combined with the aromatic blend of herbs and spices created a symphony of flavors that left me craving for more!
Also, the owner's warm and friendly nature. The owner personally came to our table to ensure we were enjoying our meal and even took the time to explain the origins of some of the dishes. This personal touch made the dining experience even more memorable.
I have become a regular at this Thai restaurant, and I can't help but keep coming back for more. The consistent quality of the food and the welcoming atmosphere make it a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Thai cuisine in Calgary.
If you're a fan of Thai food or simply looking for a culinary adventure, I highly recommend trying out this restaurant. The amazing authentic Thai food, coupled with the friendly owner, will undoubtedly leave you with a memorable...
Read moreFor me, the dinner is really disappointed. First of all, Thai tea is a bit ridiculous. My friend said they use to serve it with a cup but what I got is in a big test tube with around 250 to 300 ml and it cost 5.99CAD. It is a bit too sweet and I can’t taste any fragrance of the tea. One thing is the little whipped cream is good. The Tom yum soup just like tomato soup. I can’t taste anything except tomato. The good thing is that it is sour enough. The grilled pork jowl and chicken skewers is really good. Pork jowl is nice and tender. Skewers got nice seasoning and nice sear. Larb duck salad just tastes like stir fry minced pork. There are no any fragrance from the duck. When I ate the Thai Basil Stir Fry with Minced Meat with rice, just like I am eating ten star anise at the same time. It is so bad. The curry and the stir fry wide noodles are not bad. In my opinions, the food is not that good and expensive with small portions size . And before I post any review , I talked to the server about the Thai tea , and what we got is a bad reply. We got some friends having meal at Thai Siam before and they all said that the Thai tea supposed to be serve with a cup and a little bit more. Thai Siam didn’t change the photo of thai tea( with the old portion size) which makes us getting some misunderstanding on that. The server didn’t apologize on that and said it is normal. At the end , we communicated with the supervisor and no charge on the Thai tea. Overall, it was a bad...
