Top Gun Kitchen — Local services in Calgary

Food is good with a reasonable amount of salt. Quality isn't as good as the restaurants in Calgary but good enough for home cooking. Their dumplings were the best out of the stuff we ordered. They had everything we wanted in stock when we ordered.

The BBQ pork bun was the most disappointing as the bun didn't contain the filling properly. I expect the quality to be more consistent. Also, the paper attached to the buns are absolute garbage cause they don't peel off cleanly after steaming. It takes the bottom of the bun off with it.

Happy to see a new frozen dim sum place in the area since Fortune Foods...

While we were getting our rock chips repaired next door, we thought of checking out this place. Maybe we expected too much because the rating was 4.6 stars. Their pork and shrimp dumplings were made with wonton wraps and the filling tasted like pork and shrimp siu mei... It's very different from common ones. I'm not sure if I'd get it again. Pork and shrimp siu mei was okay. For its price, I'd get it again. Sticky rice wrapped with lotus leaf was alright and on the sweeter side. Since the prices are decent, we will be back to try...

My family loves dim sum. With the rise of inflation, eating out for dim sum became too expensive. Then luckily we have found Top Gun Kitchen. Top Gun shrimp dumplings are very tasty. We usually get shrimp dumplings and pork dumplings. Last time tried fish dumplings and they were also delicious. We have recommended this place to family members and they told us to try egg tarts, which we need to preorder in 2 hours advance. If your family needs great homemade delicious dim sum, please get some frozen dim sum...
