TLDR: Food was good but service was a bit lacking.

The story: Came here to dine on a Thursday evening, between 8 and 9 of September 15, 2022. I’m not usually in the area but whenever I’m here to play disc golf and looking for a place to eat after, I’m intrigued about why a sports lounge underneath a community centre has really good reviews so I decided to try it out. I’m not in my usual business casual attire, I just finished playing so I was in play clothes but the some of the patrons seems to be grabbing a bite before their game upstairs so I wasn’t severely underdressed. There were 2 servers with not a lot of people so the place wasn’t overly busy.

The food was surprisingly really good! I quite enjoyed my meal.

What I wasn’t happy about was the really slow service. My food took too long cause my server was sitting at a table with people she seemed to know chatting away that I think she forgot that my food was ready. Okay maybe the food took a while to make so no worries. She also forgot to offer chilli flakes and parmesan which she asked me about when she remembered it a few mins after I’ve started my meal. The food was good enough without it so okay, no biggie. When I was done, I couldn’t find her for a while so I waited a bit. She reappeared a few minutes after. I flagged her as I wanted to ask for a box and pay for my meal. She gestured one sec so I waited a bit. It was taking too long so I looked back to where I found her and she was getting lost in a chat with another customer again. I just shrugged and sighed. Good thing the other server noticed that I am not working through my food anymore and asked if I needed a box, to which I replied “Yes, and the bill please.”. My original server came over with my bill and an explanation of why she took long that she didn’t even finish. It went like “Sorry about that, I got…” and that was it. I am usually a generous tipper. I like eating alone so I don’t usually rake up a sizeable bill so I tip way more than the standard 15% for good service. I still left a 15% tip.

This place is SO GOOD like the food was amazing!!! These fries are better than any other restaurant I've ever eaten at! The people working there are so nice and thoughtful! This place also has a bowling alley and its more old fashioned style, but it's a nice place to bowl with your family or a small group, it gives a warm feeling. This place is like a bar lounge but it's not sketchy and I honestly think it's kid friendly! They provide a kids menu and a colouring sheet with crayons! After you eat, there's a close by park that the kids can play at too. Inside the restaurant theres also like a dart area, pool table, etc. But its not as busy due to the restaurant being kinda hidden. Again don't worry about it being sketchy, it's not :) My dad and brother especially loved how the TVs had different sport games on lol. One thing I have to say is that the food comes kinda slow because there aren't very many chefs and they have to travel from the kitchen to the eating area. (They are in different floors) But it's worth the wait. Especially for those chicken burgers 😏...This place has seating for big groups and small groups so I really recommend this place! SO GOOD! Definitely coming...

For the lack of being busy, food took far too long to come to the table. We waited half an hour on food that was luke warm at best. And bland. I tried three different mains and each had nothing special and were also luke warm at best. The beef dip was cold and dry. The cheese burger was nothing more than a sad meal, the fries tasted better. Honestly I wouldn't go back, the food isn't special, the staff are the only good thing that made this experience bearable as they are quite friendly and made sure we always had refills. This is a place where I'd see myself end up after a night of bad choices that lead me here and I still wouldn't eat the food. I go to places for the food, but not here.
