Pho Mai Thy — Restaurant in Calgary

Very weird experience when I went here. First, the server didn't want to seat us at the booths because it's still wet from mopping an hour and a half before close. Then I ordered Bo kho, and it was probably the worst bo kho I've had in Calgary. No richness, no tomato flavor, no stew like consistency, it wasn't dark, and the taste wasn't anything near Bo kho. It was lacking the spices and tomato paste and everything. They just put something in their pho broth to make it darker? The meat, some were tender, and some were dry and discolored, like it was extra meat from a freezer. I don't like to complain, so I didn't say anything.

Then when I was paying, the server TIPPED HIMSELF 70 cents on top of my bill. My bill was $29.30 for two soups, and then he just rounded up to $30? Yea 70 cents is nothing, but to add onto the bill without the customer knowing is unethical and just crazy. Luckily I tipped less because I noticed, didn't say anything about it, and that will be the last time I eat here.

I am in a wheelchair so I have my husband get the food. Normally if I could I would have complained face to face. I ordered wor won ton. Last time I ordered this I was amazed at the generous portion. This time it was soooooo small. If you google what that means ( work wonton soup) it is definitely not just veggies and wontons. We have been ordering from this place for years. We normally get extra meat cause they give you lots of broth and ingredients. This time they did not give us what I ordered. She was difficult to understand. When we called back she was not professional, she argued that I did not ordered when my husband told her he heard what I ordered. She could have given me the extra ingredients or a refund or N EXCHANGE. BUT NONE OF THAT. A restaurant should want the customer to come back and not lose them as customers as they just did us. We do not feel valued.…it was take out but my husband always tip generously. So remember if you have any issues, it's clear they...

we just got back from the restaurant & had a very dishonest experience from the restaurant. We used a loyalty coupon, and we were informed before ordering that we can use this coupon for pho or bun (soup or vermicelli). We ordered a vermicelli and a soup, the waitress wrote A24 on the coupon and told us clearly that the coupon will be used against A24 (the cheaper of the 2 items we ordered). We then also added an order of spring roll. When we paid for the bill, we found out that the coupon was used on the spring roll instead of the A24.

Be aware of what you are ordering if you are using a coupon. It is worth up to $10 but they will apply it to the cheapest item you ordered even after they tell you what would be discounted from your order. Check your bill...
